Kimberly Cantergiani: 2001 Champion
|
Kimberly Cantergiani started gaining weight when she started having children, six children later, she found herself wearing shapeless, baggy clothes to hide her body. But it wasn’t just about appearance. As she continued to gain weight, she found herself lacking in energy. She was tired and depressed all the time. Her self-esteem was at an all-time low. At 154 pounds with over 30 percent body fat and wearing a size 14/16, her weight was spiraling out of control. But rather than giving up, Kimberly decided to change her life by following Body-for-LIFE. After just 12 weeks with the Challenge, she weighed 129 pounds with 16.4 percent body fat and was wearing a size 3/4. The transformation earned her a place as a 2001 Body-for-LIFE Champion. Though the external changes are the most obvious, they pale in comparison to the internal changes that have taken place in Cantergiani’s life. "Since completing the Challenge I am confident and comfortable in my own skin," Kimberly says. "I am profoundly aware that I am responsible for my choices, and that I control my destiny. I now know how to set goals, how to write them down, and how to make them emotional and meaningful."
