Before the Body-for-LIFE® Challenge, life had gotten to a point where things weren’t necessarily bad but I had lost the motivation to achieve more. I was going through some personal problems that were taking a huge toll on me both emotionally and financially.
During that time, going to the gym and eating greasy foods were the only things that kept me going. It wasn’t long before all that junk food caught up to me. I didn’t like what I was becoming and I knew something had to change. That’s when I remembered seeing pictures of former BFL winners when I was younger, sporting beautiful leather jackets. I went online to look up the Challenge and registered to start right away. I ate clean and began running on top of the weight lifting I was already doing.
At first it was hard to get out for those runs and even harder not to eat greasy foods. I noticed, as time went on, it got easier. I learned how to prepare new, healthy recipes and found running to be a great way to clear my mind. I have noticed dramatic changes - not only do I look better and have more energy but I also read faster and understand more of what I am reading. I went from sleeping 10-12 hours a day to sleeping the recommended 6-8. I get outside more and feel more confident.
I could not have asked for more! Life is better all around and I hope to continue for as long as I can.
