Goal: Loose 25 lbs
In 2001 I was involved in a racing boat accident that shattered my left arm. I had four of my fingers amputated—the doctors were able to save one. This was a major setback in my life but I always kept a great attitude, knowing that someday it would be possible for me to join a gym and start exercising.
I got married in 2009 to a younger, beautiful, lady and decided to get a gym membership. My first son was born in April of 2010. Another major setback came 10 days after my son was born, when I cut off my 4 fingers, at the first knuckle—this time to my right hand, again in a boating accident.
I have been exercising on and off for years until recently when I met a trainer at the gym. I told him about the Body-for-LIFE program and he seemed confident that he could help me accomplish all my goals. I started exercising 6 days a week doing a mix of cardio and weight training. I also began following a healthy diet as outlined in the Body-for-LIFE program.
After sticking to the plan for 6 weeks I really started to notice a change in my body. I got excited and couldn't wait to see more results! My trainer started to make the program harder and harder and I wasn't sure if I would make it to the end. But I pushed myself as hard as I could.
My trainer and my wife continued to support me. Finally as we reached the three-month mark I was feeling so confident with my body that nothing could stand in my way! I couldn't wait to take my "after" pictures and show the world how much I’d changed!
