Thanksgiving Survival guide!
lorig2727
Whether your Thanksgiving meal is at noon or at night, always eat a healthy meal in the morning to avoid overeating later in the day. Try a bowl of oatmeal with raisins or an egg white omelet with veggies. Arriving at your Thanksgiving meal with an empty stomach will only lead to overeating. Workout...

Week 5 and struggling
Pollitt
Hey everyone. I am in week 5 and having a hard time staying motivated. Week 4 was brutal. I missed 2 workouts and my diet was crap. I have started week 5 now and I am trying to keep with it. In 5 weeks the scale has hardly moved, but I did lose about 1-2 inches everywhere on my body. Needing some...

Protein and oatmeal
IronKat
Does anyone have a good protein to add to oatmeal? I really love eating oatmeal in the morning. I added egg whites this morning (I read that some people do that on BFL) and I couldn't choke it down. Any suggestions? Thanks and good luck to all! Kathy

I am from Australia and decided to start my challenge 3 weeks ago (began 11th Feb 2011) in order to get my body in order for a big summer trip to Europe leaving May 31st. I am lucky in a sense as I have a trainer helping me through it as she knows the program well and is taking measurements etc. I am...

I have started the challenge a crazy amount of times only to quit within a week. I made it 2 weeks once. It feels different this time. I have done way more prep and have been talking myself up for over a week. I think this time it is going to stick. Actually, I KNOW it is! I am going to quit smoking...

I have completed this program in the past and know for a fact it works. I am on Week 1 day 2 and have had a few set backs but more successes than set backs. Some thoughts, 10 days into the program

I hate every step of running. I am so glad I have an iPhone (I run with Justin Timberlake- or I pretend to). The trainer I was randomly assigned to at my gym doesn't "get" what I'm doing (switch?). It is not that hard to eat right if you are paying attention. I am really fat...

Advice on fat intake during the week
JimWinnHomes
Hey All! I'm having a hard time getting clarity on how to best incorporate fat into our daily plan. It appears that a serving of "healthy" fats are allowed each day- on top of the 6 meals of carbs & proteins, correct? For me, it's either 1 serving of peanuts or a serving of natural...

Does 4 egg whites count as 1 "protein"?
JimWinnHomes
When looking at various meals people are eating, and seeing menu samples, it seems like everyone is using 4 egg whites in a meal. I've usually used 2, but wondering if 4 would be the more normal "protein" serving? Perhaps by removing the yolk (which I always do) this is why 4 works instead...
