I am starting my 8th week on the program. I have been following it religiously. I have lost about 10lbs and gained some muscle. The problem is that I see very little difference. Neither do other people. After two months of this I feel I should at least see some change in my face, neck etc.
My goal in not to look buff. I am not going to take my shirt off and oil my body up. I want to look lean, neat, and healthy. I want to look comfortable in a suite again. I would rather have the look of a health runner or tri-athlete... than a body builder.
I feel like I am wasting a lot of time with weights. I feel that the 50 minutes used on weights may be better spend doing cardio? I don't want to bulk up. Lifting weights makes me feel I am staying the same size, just replacing the fat with muscle. I know thats good, but I don't want to stay the same size. I want for my chest, waste, neck, etc to be smaller not thick. After 7 weeks, of hard work and eating perfect, according to the plan, I should see some change. Not very happy.
Any advise? Thanks,
GW
GW good job on what you have accomplished so far as ten lbs is a good number. I just looked at my stats and noticed that at end of week 8 I had lost about 15 lbs on the scale. I started at 265 with 35% body fat, just curious to where you started and where you want to be. Its very possible to lose 2-3lbs a week and that would be another 8-12 lbs by the end of your challenge. Scale weight would put you at 18- 22 lbs lost. In my case I lost 26lbs of fat and gained 5 lbs of lean mass. All that being said I think you are making great progress. If you have followed he program to a t, then i suggest reading up on the Max cardio tweak for bfl by hussman fitness for your last 4 weeks to help focus on fat burn. I noticed in my clothes a lot of changes and my wife would say things she saw too. It wasn't until about week eight when some people started commenting a little more but not much. I am currently wrapping g up week 14 and now more people are definitely noticing and even asking for my advice. Don't lose focus, its about progress not perfection!
