Starting Dec 12 - Anyone else?

  • I think I put in a strong effort this week. I've made a point of telling everyone i talk to often about my challenge so there are more people to hold me accountable. I'm giving myself a 90% this week.

Improvements for next week for me:

Eat every three hours (sometimes was eating my meals within 1 1/2 or 4 hours apart, depending on schedule).

Determine appropriate caloric intake and whether I'm eating enough (I'm following the BFL program to the letter, but I ski everyday in addition to the program and I think Im falling a little short).

Remain positive and continue to give myself the right mental resources to be able to succeed.

Develop larger support network and strength relationships with key support-people.

Good luck everyone! We're 8.3% there! (lol)

  • You'd do lowerbody if you're on week 2, and your week would include 2 lower body and 1 upper body workouts (in addition to 3 HIIT sessions).  On this program the rest cycles are designed so your body gets more than 48 hours to repair itself from strength training.

  • @namit,  everyweek alternates so just remember that it will always go UBWO, Cardio, LBWO, Cardio.  As long as you follow that you will be on the right track.  So since we are starting week 2, this will be our schedule: M - LBWO, T - Cardio, W - UBWO, T - Cardio, F - LBWO, S - Cardio, S - Golf or rest.

Since I rated myself a 60 last week, my goal is to raise that.  My first mission is to not miss one workout.

@lalalaura, I envy your schedule, being able to hit the slopes everyday sounds fun.

  • Glad to see we're all still doing good! WEek one is DONE!

I did 100% to plan and have lost 3 lbs. Woot!

My mission next week is to continue despite long meetings at work and the holiday!

  • Hi 12-12ers I started my challenge on 12-12 and have been trying to decide if I need support...after my "cheat" day that is a yes! Is there anyway I can still join this group.  My week one was great, i ate clean and made great choices in that I kicked the coke zero habit!!!  Major accomplishment for me. I love to workout, so I rarely miss a work out.  I have done bfl before and had great results but didn't know how to continue when I got to my goal.  We are military and move a lot and between that chaos and other life things I am  back to where I was before I did bfl the first time. Which is devastating   I am ready for this challenge as I am tired of being tired, feeling gross and well feeling bad about myself.

So that is a little about me.   if it is ok for me to jump in I will post every night before I hit the hay. Thanks and I look forward to getting to know you all!

  • @shelamber, please join us, the more the better.

  • So I am not sure how much longer I will be awake...so thought I'd do my post now, I haven't felt good all day. Got my workout in but really felt sick all day so  I know I haven't gotten all my meals in. Not sure if I am getting a bug or if my cheat day was just that shocking to my body. So here's to lessons learned. Hope everyone else had a great week 2 day 1 :)

  • @shelamber I felt really sick/exhausted on Monday too and I think it resulted from the cheat day on Sunday... My cheat day consisted of lots of sugar and simple carbs... I think this week I'm going to just have one cheat meal on Sunday (Christmas dinner) and eat according to the plan for the rest of the day and see if the fallout is better.. Did anyone else feel slightly sick after their cheat day?

  • So, today was my annual medical check up with my doctor. He told me that my blood pressure was 118 over 80....which is normal. It used to be high....I have to say it is because of the diet and cardio I am doing on body for life plan. I feel good and it gives me motivation to keep going...

I have not lost any weight cuz I had two cheat days last week instead of one but I certainly feel stronger and healthier. Lets see what happens this week......Good Luck everyone.

  • I'm a little late to the table, but I am joining you 12-12ers since that is the day I started. I had a problem getting my log in id to work on this site for some reason, but good to go now.

Day 10 and I'm feeling great. I am doing cheat day's on Sunday's. My wife has been making cookies the last two days and it does not even tempt me, I think it's because I know that I will get a cheat day and can partake then!

Workouts have been going well, improvement each day. I suffered an Achilles rupture 11 months ago so I am still working up slowly on the treadmill.

My plan is to do measurements every 2 weeks and progress pictures every 4 weeks.

Keep up the good work 12-12ers.

  • we are killing it ! 12-12ers rule - and we are going to not let holidays set us off either!

  • Merry Christmas 12-12ers. I will be enjoying my free day of eating today. I wanted to share some results at the close of 2 weeks. Lost 2 lbs of fat and 3.8 lbs total. 1/2 inch reduction from stomach, hips and waist. Feeling great, I think if this is the pace I keep it should be a very successful transformation as we are at the 1/6th point. Keep working hard and let us know how everyone else is doing.

  • So... holiday season was pretty interesting for me. I definitely didnt eat the way I planned to, and crumbled under social pressure with my eating...

BUT! I still lost a bit of weight, and today is a new day! Back on the wagon and forgiving myself for the past weekend.

  • Where'd everybody go?!

I'm needing some inspiration, come back and tell us how you're doing!

  • Hi lalalaura,

I'm still here.  Im now 179.5lbs.  That means the world to me because I'm now under 180.  I can only imagine how much greater my success would be if I were more consistent.  I had a fabulous UBWO and I know my arms will be killing me tomorrow:).   My legs are still aching from the last cardio session where I finally tried the elliptical again. But all in all I love the soreness because deep down I know I really pushed myself.  I thank Jesus for encouraging me and I'm really happy that I also have all of you.  How are your workouts coming along?
