I am a guy, 52 and am starting the 12 week program this week. Anyone want to be an accountability buddy, maybe do one evening email where we report how was the exercise, the nutrition. Could be as simple as Exercise - done, Food - 8 (on a scale of 1 to 10). Or it can be a bit more, It can also be how we are doing motivation wise. No judgement, just reality a quick what happened in reality report.
Knowing I need to account to someone keeps me better focused, may help you too.
I'll be your huckleberry. I'm a 32 year old male. I put on 30 pounds since moving to the midwest. I've let my weight be an excuse to hold me back from a lot in life. I'm ready to quit making excuses and get back in shape. My biggest goal is to get in shape to help me get ready for US Open Qualifying in May. My goal of losing 60 pounds will make it a lot easier to swing a club. I've done this before when I played on mini-tours in Florida. Just need to have an accountability partner like you said. Let's do this!
Great, I am joining a gym today! I keep trying different things but instead of losing I am gaining, I want to lose 34 lbs from 216 back to 182 and fit into a 34 waist. So my goals are 34 - 34!
Please email me here firstname.lastname@example.org
HI! I have a question... can we start the program any day to be part of the "challenge"?
Absolutely!! We're only on Day 2 so join in. The more the merrier - and it gives us an even better support group. Keep us posted on your progress.
I want to join you guys. I am on Day 3 and could use the support. I am a 61-year-old woman and I have Lyme Disease so I'm taking it slowly and carefully but I am expecting this program to help me recover my energy and boost my immune system.
Hey PlutDog I totally welcome you, I will check with my current buddy on how to set it up.
For now let's just do it here:
Today is day 3 for me, I did the aerobic and even thogh it was only 20 minutes I was sweating and it was a challenge. I am so happy to finally be moving in the fitness direction. Food has been good today too. I would say Exercise - 9, Food - 8
PlutDog - just wanted to check in and see how your first week went. I'm down 6 pounds my first week. I did manage to get my workout in every day. I ate ok, but think I can do better. Excited to see how things keep going.
Good work, Iost 7.5 lbs. My email partner and I, Did all my exercises and ate well, the food part needs some more planning.
Good luck with week 2.
Do you guys mind if I join in now? This will be my second challenge and I'll be a week behind you. Thanks!
I can't eat all this food! I went from 127 pounds to 130 Week 1. The bars have doubled my calories, so I'm gonig to use Metagenics Ultraclear instead. I also overdid the weights. So I'm backing off on them and using No. 2 pencils and hope to work my way up to dill pickles (smile).
Sure you can join us by giving a weekly report here or you can do adaily email
I think you dont need to worry about the weight, focus on how your cloths feel. Are you lifting the dill pickles or eating them :-)
Yeah, don't worry about the weight at all. Really, the first two weeks you might gain weight until your metabolism gets used to processing so many calories. It happened the first time I did BFL. I had to try to force-feed myself sometimes. BTW, I like the Myoplex Original shakes-- chocolate is awesome, as is vanilla. I sometimes add 'PB2' which is a powdered peanut butter with low fat!
PlutoDog - wanted to check in and see how things are coming along this week. Even though you gained 3 pounds - you are eating in a way designed to build muscle. Muscle is more dense than fat so 3 pounds of muscle takes up significantly less space than 3 pounds of fat. Keep at it - you're doing fine! I'm going to lose a lot of weight early because I am more than 2 of you. :) Not thrilled about it, but it is what it is. JJ how are things going with you? I hear from Lean on a daily basis so if you all want to e-mail me as well fire away to bigcraig@hotmail
