But I don't know where to start, honestly. I was looking at the sample meal planner and exercises and there are only one of each. I'm thinking that both may be way more than what I'm looking for. I'm trying to get lean and tone and those both look like they'd add too much bulk. Any suggestions?
Hello aeryella! I assume you are female based on your comment to avoid bulking up. We females can not bulk up like males do unless we work to do so. With Body-for-LIFE, you will get what you seek. You will have some muscle definition but not anything close to overdone or looking bulky. :-)
If you haven't already, you'll need to read the original book by Bill Phillips (he's on the cover). The book tells you everything you need to know.

This is the best thing going. It makes sense, you eat foods (create meals) from the grocery store using the authorized food list in the book and here on this website (http://bodyforlife.com/library/food-list) and you workout. Very simple with no gimicks, no quick fixes and and it works!
