I just was wondering if anyone knows if the champions were working out more than once a day? I guess I’m losing steam here in week two and not seeing the results I would like!!!! I’m losing lbs on the scale but not seeing them in the mirror …… maybe objects in the mirror may appear bigger. I just was thinking about cardio every day in the morning and lifting in the afternoon?
Thanks for any feed back
You have to read what I posted on my blog yesterday. It has a link to some great Information on Haussman Fitness. I am posting from my phone or I would just past the link. Its helped me understand more what is going on inside, it may be what you need.

It is important that you don't add extra workouts or cardio. Your body needs rest and recuperation. Stick with the plan as laid out in the book. You must be patient....trust me.....your greatest changes will come in the final 4 weeks.

Flatliner, your link has been SO helpful to me! Thanks so much for writing about it.
Jhauenstein, keep at it, friend. You *are* experiencing changes, which is great considering it's only been two weeks. The mirror will catch up to your internal changes before you know it.

Hussmanfitness.org is a site we should keep under favorites!! He is so informative and makes it all seem doable if you just check the boxes and do what he says! I keep going back to his paper towel example. It makes for a good visual.
Glad it helps! The storing of fat in the muscle and being compared to marblization of steaks made me go duh!
J for got to mention that on my lifting days I try to do a low to moderate intensity cardio on the bike for 20 minutes in the morning and would lift at night. I have much fat to lose so I do need more cardio. I just tweaked my cardio for the last three weeks to concentrate on fat loss. Just curious where did you start weight wise and body fat wise and what are your goals?
The link on your blog was some good info thank...... I started this time at 233.5 lbs Monday will be the start of week three for me and I'm down to 228 lbs I think my BF% was around 35% my goal is to get down to around 200 with BF% of 20% by the end of the challenge ..... I try to count cals to I use the body bug to track my cal burn I'm burning between 3800 and 4000 cals a day my diet is about 2400 cals and I try to keep my ratio to 40% carbs 40% protean and 20% fat.... I'm usually at 45% carbs 38% protean and 17% fat I track this by using "my fit pal" for the iPhone it's also available on android
J, I know everyone's different, but I"m going to give you my input based on what I have seen so far in my 10 weeks. You need to reduce that carb portion and make sure your protein is always higher. I am using supplments for protein as I just can't find enough things to eat that are high enough to give me what I need. Shoot for your body weight divided by 6 to have an idea of how much protein you should be eating. Just in shakes alone, I take in 126g protein. I would also suggest 1% cottage cheese and I use Danon Light and FIt which is usually less than 100 calories and then two servings of cottage cheese will give you an additional 26g protein in a meal. Total it's about 280 calories or something like that. You have a similar body fat percentage as me, so make sure your portions are about your first size and if you can reduce your carbs to less that your fist size. Hussman explained that too much carbs will not let your bottom realize the enzyme that encourages fat burning that we have stored. You should also look into increasing your cardio as he explains, maybe using the small tweak and when you get into week 9 go max tweak to help burn more fat. Hope this helps!
