Hi all! My name's Melisa, and I'm a 28-year old mother of two. I've had some major ups and downs when it comes to sticking to any sort of healthy lifestyle, and after having two kids (and wanting more), I'm ready to get into the best shape of my life. It's harder and harder with each baby, and I'm tired of feeling so...uncomfortable.
Currently, tomorrow is my rest day. I had to start on a Wednesday, to coincide with some other stuff in my schedule. :) I have been on the official BFL since last Wednesday, and I have to say...almost 4 pounds down, and I have a couple of inches that deserve a farewell!
My trouble zones are my abdominals. I have never had an issue with my legs, I'm a beginner runner (I've run 2 5Ks), and I'm looking to include half marathon training in with my challenge, as my first is in September. My upper body is basically my weakest...example: on a shoulder press (machine), the most I can press is about 35/40# (3x6-8).
I would absolutely LOVE to share this experience with others here! (Newbies like me and veterans to have brain-picking sessions with!!!)
Good luck to every one else that's starting up!
Hi Melissa:) I am starting on May 30th and am so exited and a little scared. I am a 31 year old mother of 1 who has battled weight problems my entire life.Ive tried BFL once before and did really well for four weeks but then quit when I saw enough of a result to make me happy. I lost 25 lbs and went from a size 15-16 to a size 10-12. You will do great! I really want to get support from others like me to get me thru the next 12 weeks and on.
