Is there a way to get the BFL workout to under 40 minutes?

  • My gym opens at 6:00 am. I MUST be out of there by 6:40 in order to get to work on time. Is there some way to get the wo in under 40 minutes?  I know shortcuts aren't exactly the best idea, but any advice would be appreciated.

  • I've been doing these for about 18 months and use weight machines for the LBWO, and can easily get it done in 30 - 35 minutes. The UBWO is a different story -   and I still haven't  figured out how to get it done in the 46 minutes recommended, because I use dumbells and have to re-rack the weights.  If there is one way to do the UBWO in under 40 minutes, it would be using the weight machines, and cut the one minute rest down to 45 - 50 seconds.

  • That was going to be my suggestion too.  It's not ideal for building mass but cut your rest periods down.  It may create an inability to lift heavier so monitor it closely.  You'll likely feel more burn as well.
