I realized this week that I really have done a LOT better as far as not just throwing it all out of the window when I have a slip up. Before it was sooooo hard to get back on the wagon but a couple of weeks ago I ate 1/2 a cookie. I have NEVER eaten only 1/2 a cookie and I ate it sooooo slowly and I found that it was really sweet. TOO sweet in fact.
My boss had a party to celebrate me coming on full time last Tuesday and she made cake, of course. ANd my boss does NOT cook so when she bakes something in honor OF you...you kinda gotta eat it. So I ate a small piece and ended up with a headache from the sugar I'm assuming. Definitely made me not want cake again.
In 3 weeks, I have faith that I will see some results and that will give me fuel for the next challenge!
You can choose the pain of discipline or the pain of regret...
the body for life book has a section about progress not perfection. For me reading the success stories is helpful when I don't see the results I want. it motivates me to keep trying.
