I am brand new to BFL and I'm still trying to figure everything out. Is it ok to substitute whey protein shake powder for myoplex lite in the recipes from the EFL cookbook? If not, where is the best place to find the most inexpensive myoplex lite??
Absolutely. Myoplex is simply a protein powder mix.....the "lite" being less calories. There are many many different protein powders out there with many being cheaper than myoplex. I'm always careful to read the ingredients and carb content of the powder as I usually get a very low carb protein powder then just add some fruit or skim milk for the carb portion. The 2 main flavours I use are chocolate and vanilla. Try going to Walmart or your local grocery store. I have found that the mainline health and nutrition stores are quite expensive. Hope this helps.
