Hey Everyone,
My ipod and I hit the gym and I know that little ipod full of music will help me hit my 10's that day. I'm running out of good music and wanted to download some more songs. I thought it would be fun to have a thread where people could share the music they use to hit their 10's. So here are some songs that help me reach mine:
"1901" by Phoenix "Sending out an SOS" by The Police "Let it Rock" by Kevin Rudolf & Lil Wayne "Somebody Told Me" by The Cure "Uprising" by Muse "Human" by The Killers "Better Off Alone" by Alice DJ "Mr. Brightside" by The Killers "Shake It" by Metro Station "Take On Me" by A-Ha "Enjoy the Silence" by Depeche Mode "Major Tom" by Peter Schilling "One More Time" by Daft Punk I realize we all have different tastes in music. I love just about anything with a good beat. Please post any songs that get you moving! Thanks, Alyson

Thanks for your list, I'm going to look at downloading some of them myself and am interested to see what others put. Here is my list, *ing my particular favorites:
*Hello - Martin Solveig
*Howlin' for you - The Black Keys
Sandstorm - Darude
You're gonna go far kid - The Offspring
Whoa Is Me - Down With Webster
We No Speak Americano - Ugh...my Ipod isn't showing me

*Dog Days Are Over - Florence + The Machine
Ching A Ling - Missy Elliot
*Don't Stop Believing - Journey (You can't go wrong with this one - Except for when I want to "Air Piano")
If it was easy, everyone would do it. It's the hard that makes it great.
I have 2 cd's made. 1 for cardio and 1 for weights. Can't remember what is on the cardio one. Not sure how I did it but when I did my cardio I actually didn't listen to music.
For weights the cd is filled with mostly hard rock. I don't mind lighter up beat stuff for cardio but for weights I need something heavier. Haven't used it in a while since we got XM radio at the gym so it's on Hair Nation most of the time. A few that get me going in the gym are:
Wild Side - Motley Crue
Thunderstruck - AC/DC
The Sickness, The Game(I think both are right) - Disturbed
I Will Survive - Cheap Trick
Dragula - Rob Zombie
I know there are more but I'm drawing a blank right now. But these are a few of my "go to " songs.
Train to grow, not for show!
timetochange, what a great idea for this thread. thank you so much. i am always trying to find music to exercise to. when i get online trying to find ones to meet the right 'frame of mind' i just get boggled down and don't get anywhere. so thanks again.
When I'm doing cardio, I always, always, always listen to Bad Religion. I've been doing this for years.
I like the band, but they're far from my favourite, but for some reason they just make me push harder and feel strong.
It's gotta be Bad Religion or it just doesn't feel right!

LOL, the best for me is actually a book on tape for cardio. Just distracts me so I can easily lose track of time. Music wise if I had to choose would be more rock / hard rock type stuff. Van Halen, Ozzy etc etc.
Hey All,
I love all kinds of music, looks like I have a lot of the same taste currently in music as timetochange and ebay. One of my all time favorite types of music is electronic/techno. There are a couple great free podcasts on Itunes, one of them that is created just for cardio workouts, is called 'podrunner' and I really enjoy it, its very fast hard thumping beats that get you moving, sometimes they do sets just for intervals, another great free podcast I tune into and listen to while working out is 'funky london house' if you need words to your songs, and like the techno beat, its really upbeat and perfect workout music, just wanted to share.
"Success is figuring out a way NOT to quit"
I'm a bit of an old school metal head. So my lifting is all old Metallica, Iron Maiden, AC/DC stuff like that. My cardio is a bit more newer stuff Finger 11,Godsmack, Linkin Park. I set my cardio up to have the real pump songs for me at crucial times where I am digging down to complete the sprints.
MIns 5-6 - Godsmack I Stand Alone
MIns 8-9 Linkin Park What I've done
Mins 13-14 Eminem Lose Yourself (from the 8mile soundtrack)
Mins 18-19 Rocky Theme song - Gonna fly now.
Let me tell ya, that Rocky theme song has got me through those last 2 mins of full on hard as I can run more times than I can count. I don;t know what it is about that song but man does it work.

"STRONGER" by Kanye West.............sums up BFL perfectly:
"............that that don't kill me, can only make me stronger"!!!!!!!!!
Longer, Better, Faster, Stronger!
I'm probably dating myself, but I also like some of the older rock for my cardio like:
"Legs" - ZZ Top"Mony, Mony" - Billy Idol"Shook me all night long" - AC/ DC
Normally I listen to country, religious and "easy listening" type music, but like the above to push me on my cardio!
LOL I don't post much here yet (just started a new-to-me personal challenge last week) but had to chime in here. Another vote for techno for the cardio! That beat just gets me moving.
