Other than protein shakes, what supplements are you taking? I am currently taking creatine myself and have noticed a huge improvement. I am thinking about adding HMB and possibly Arginine. I noticed some people are taking BetaGen, but when I look online, it seems to be discontinued. So what is the replacement for it? Muscle Armor?
Here is the info I believe you are looking for. I currently take the Betagen form of Reload. If you are already taking creatine, I believe all of these contain creatine as well. So no need to add them. I would look at HMB and Arginine. I would give the folks at EAS a call and make sure that the Armor contains creatine because it doesn't list it in the ingredients, it lists Juven Technology and I'm sorry I don't know whether the Juven Tech blend includes creatine. I do see that it includes HMB, L-Arginine and L-Glutamine. Be forewarned that the Armor is EXPENSIVE.
Betagen- Now called RELOAD
Muscle Armor- Now called ARMOR
Phosphagen Elite- Now called PUSH

I am just starting BFL. I need to lose fat and gain muscle. (i'm 5'7" and weigh 160ish).....What supplements should I be taking? Right now I have the EAS whey protein...but nothing else. what do you recommend?
I have a question on the "Betagen- Now called RELOAD"
Do you take this three times a day or only before or only after or only before and after workouts?
(hmn, odd sentence hope that makes sense)
I take Betagen 3 times a day per the bottle instructions. I haven't purchased the reload, but assume the directions haven't changed. For a while there was a misconception that woman should only take it twice but the ladies from EAS explained to us at the TN Champs weekend last year that it should be taken by both men and women as the package directs. I take it on workout and non-workout days as well. I take it before my morning workout.
Thanks Michelle,
The instructions do indeed say 3x a day. I've added this to the big order I'm placing later this week.
Always happy to help!
Lex120, buring fat is going to come from the morning cardio sessions. As to buidling muscle, make sure you are getting the appropriate portions of protein with each of the six meals and I recommend Betagen for muscle repair and recovery. If you have any questions at all the folks at the EAS 1-800 number are super and know their products well. They will make the recommendations that suit you.

Just copy and paste it.
It depends on your goals really.
The only thing I suggest is to use a hydrolyzed or isolate for your protein if you are trying to shed the fat.
If you are trying to gain mass, I STRONGLY encourage the same protein, but also to add a simple carbohydrate whether in the form of a banana, apple, fruit, etc...OR a drink that has given me (personally) superior results, Karbolyn.
