Good point Kimmy - you do need to make sure you are getting your water in. The creatine fills cells with needed water and takes away from other areas - as in digestion....so drink up! ;)
The gain from bloating is not huge by any means Therese and is not reason to avoid it. Like Kimmy says, it is hard to know what she would look like without the creatine. (I assume she looks great right now, and will see that leanness I experianced that I didnt know I had till I went off it - I was happy either way)
Being that you go off creatine 10 days prior to your final picture, you dont have to worry about scale weight either, because if it amounts to anything, it too will be gone after 10 days.
Kimmy: when I took Betagen, it was after my workout, then at 2 other times of the day. What I take now is before and after my workout and that is why I notice that it does give me a boost. It's interesting stuff.
