In my humble opinion if you are holding proper form and YOU are comfortable and getting smaller in measurements, don't worry about the amount you are lifting. If you look at progress pics and feel as if you are getting "bulky" you can always change the number of reps you are doing.
It's what you are comfortable with, not what anyone else thinks that matters.
If my husband happened to come with me to the gym, he'd leave because he wouldn't be able to lift what I do and that's intimidating for a lot of men.
One other thing to remember. It takes a lot of food to "bulk up", take a moment to read some of the gainer diets on this site. If you are sticking with the palm fist method and you are losing...YOU GO GIRL!!

Hi all... I love lifting weight too. but my problem is on dumbell-bench-press. each time after -my-6th-reps, I can't get up while holding my dumbells with me.. How to get up from lying position with the dumbells in each hand without holding on anything ?
I know what you mean! Fortunately, I workout with my hubby and sometimes I'm like "Get them off me!". But by yourself, maybe bracing your feet under something heavy & sturdy, roll the weights to your hip area & using your feet & abs, pull yourself up? I'm no expert, so I really don't know, it's just a suggestion. (Any possibility of getting someone to work out with you?)
It's a great question so I hope someone with more knowledge helps you!
Sounds like your hitting your 10's though! Good for you!!!

It's time for you to move to the barbell bench press if the DB's are getting too heavy. Ask someone to spot you, most will without a second thought.
