My DH and I completed a BFL challenge a few years ago when our twins were babies ( and still took naps!). Fast forward a few years, and we are back where we started ( maybe even worse) and the kids are finally in Kindergarten and the time to actually devote to ourselves seems much more do-able.
We have a few extra challenges this time though. For one, we live in the middle of no-where now. I mean twenty minutes to town where the only grocery store is a Save-a-lot.That means that we don't have a lot of things available to us. Second, I enjoy creating my own recipes for my family ( cooking is my creative outlet). Third, My DH is allergic to white fish, which is the only fish we can get in town ( catfish).
I have the BFL cookbook that we bought a few years ago, but I would love to be able to tailor our meals to what's available, what's on sale, what is coming out of the garden, and what my family will eat. Is there a specific formula that the meals/recipes go on? Or do they just go by the portion sizes on the back of some of the packages?
I have created a support group on Facebook called “Body for Lifers!” The link is…
I just started the Body For Life program (8/15/12) and know I would enjoy having an easily accessible support group. I would like to have a forum where questions can be answered, encouragement given, progress celebrated and ideas generated.
