Hi guys. In BFL Bill stated that cottage cheese may be the best protein choice one could make. I may be in the minorty but I cant stand the taste of it , however after experimenting a little I found that by mixing it in a chochlate protein shake along with ice and sugar free chochlate syrup it taste just like a milk shake. I know many of u like cottage cheese but for those of u who dont give this a try it might suprise u.
Cant stand cottage cheese myself, but it is so darn good for you that I have 2 go to favs right now
Think I may have read this recipe on the forum but if you like pumpkin heres a good one
take a container of fat free cottage cheese and mix it smooth with splenda, a can of pumpkin , some pumpkin pie spice and a scoop of vanilla protein powder, mix it all up. I think it is absolutely delicious..almost like pumpkin pie :)
I also make what i call fake baked ziti (eventho it really is baked ziti)
container of fat free cottage cheese, 1 whole egg 2 egg whites, oregano, garlic salt, basil ,mix it (i like to mix smooth)
Barilla whole grain ziti/penne (cooked very al dente)
Marinara sauce (homemade if you can, Classico makes a decent marinara)
sauce, pasta, cottage cheese mixture..keep layering and add a tiny sprinkle of parmesan cheese on top and bake til hot thru...I love it for a change and its high in protein
