Hey Guys,
Just a quick question,
I'm ending week 5 on B.F.L, things are going great, muscle mass is increasing, Fat loss coming along ok.
Myoplex Original Ratio's are Protein = 42g, Carb = 19g per serve.
My meal ratio's are Pro = 39g, Carb = 30g per serve which are my palm and fist sizes.
I'm 242 LB (male), Goal = build/maintain muscle and lose fat.
Hoping to achieve goal by August will do two B.F.L's back to back.
My Protein intake looks ok at 39g. Is carb intake to high ?
Just checking as Myoplex is a Meal replacement with carb ratio at 19g.
Any feed back would great.
Over the course of the day the book talks about equal protein to carb ratios with fat being less. I'm pretty sure Bill talks about a 40%-40%-20% Protein ,Carbs Healthy fats. Why Myoplex is set up a little differently I don't know. Probably because the avg person eats less protein and more carbs in meals than they think.
For myself during my first challenge I was more 50%-30%-20%.

If you are wanting a more balanced option, you might consider Myoplex Lite (powder packets). They have 24g carbs/20g protein. That sounds like it might be a little too "lite" for you but something to consider.
If you are just worried about the ratio of Myoplex compared to what your palm and fist say, I would vote for the more balanced and find something with 20g carbs (small apple, half a banana, blend in some frozen berries, etc) to supplement your Myoplex.
Good luck!
