Portions and protein shakes.

  • I am at 131 lbs with 31% body fat. My goal is 120 lbs with 18%. I'm a petit 5'2". Question is, do I eat according to the BFL book or lesser? And what about protein shake? Will 3x a day be too much for a person my size.

    All advice is appreciated.


    PS: my Challenge starts tomorrow, Monday, April 5, 2010. Day 01/84.



  • Two times a day max for protein shakes is recommended (don't remember where I read it).  As for portion sizes you should be fine.  Just remember to use the palm fist method for measuring your portions according to your own hand size.

    We are doing this challenge together! Woot Woot! Eat by the book. Palm/fist method definitely works. Think whole foods. Stay away from extras. Butter, too much salt, sauces, dressings...all add up. Don't get worked up about eating too much. 6 meals a day will definitely keep you full. They are however portioned properly. You must keep in mind that your body will require FOOD FOR FUEL. Don't cut back or you will deplete your fuel and your body will start breaking down muscle. Stay true to the plan and you're gonna do great!
