I found this awesome receipe

I made them per the receipe and they are great, what I want to do is reduce or replace the almond butter, honey, almonds with something else and double the protein powder to reduce the calories and the fat.  The spices make this really good and if I can find something to substitute these would be way better than using protein bars.

And I miss eating spicey Indian food but all those curries have coconut milk in them.

Any ideas?  I was going to try quartering the almond butter and honey, eliminating the almonds and using applesauce and fresh ginger to make them stick. together.

I've tried a few different receipes for protein bars, muffins, cookies but most came out pretty gross and  I think cooking the protein powder causes bloating.

Anyone a receipe makeover specialist?
