Hi everyone...hope you are doing good...am on week 3 and feeling great! I , however, have a big problem with the snacks. I live in India and don't have access to Myoplex or the other products and protein bars are also not available too easily. So could you please help with some snack ideas??? I've been having yoghurt and fruit or trail mix or toast and peanut butter. anything else?
looking forward to your suggestions : )
You probably want to cut the toast unless it is whole wheat and the peanut butter should be natural otherwise you may be adding too much fat to your meals and that includes the possible ingredients in the trail mix.
You should be able to find meal ideas (my personal preferred term over breakfast, snack, etc.) via the book or on this website. Go to the Library tab at the top of this page and then click on the link for the food list. Anything there is a good "snack" idea. :-) I usually like having cottage cheese with my yogurt. You can easily do this an not use the myoplex shakes. The more real food you eat the better.
Hope this helps.
Love you some you...PERSEVERE!
Hi!
I make a big batch of the protein pancakes or muffins, the recipes are floating around somewhere, then have them through the week, they don't last because the whole family eats them : )
The number of people that fail is directly proportionate to the number of people that give up :)
Thank you so much for your responses...
@Sharon--Wonder-Woman...I've been using whole wheat bread and Skippy Natural Peanut butter...is that okay? I try to keep my bread consumption to two slices a day. and i make my own trail mix by mixing walnuts, almonds, cashew and raisins. and have about a 30g serving of it. You think that can work?I also looked up recipes as suggested by @Timmay and the cottage cheese pancakes look yum : ) will try them soon
thank you for helping out and the inspiring...will be on track : )
love...
oonette be cautious with having both NATTY PB and nuts in the same day as that throws your fats above acceptable levels. Do you have access to Greek Yogurt? That might be a better choice with a piece of fruit for one of the meals.

My favourite snacks are the protein pancakes. (Recipe on this site)
I make the mix, cook two pancakes and have one with fruit and bit of honey in the evening. Tastes really good. And then there is a pancake left over for breakfast so no time wasted.
Good luck.
Thank everyone...i love greek yogurt but was wary as it's not on the list...but since so many of you are having it i guess i will too! i'm gonna make those pancakes tomorrow :)
Keep going...
Just one question...do i misx in the Splenda or sprinkle it on top? it's usually adviced not too cook with sweetners...
The pancakes were yummmm...thank you so much...think i've found my indulgence for a while :)
I have found eating snacks that mix a protein source with a fruit or vegetable keeps me in line with my weight goals. For example, 1 cup of low fat or fat free cottage cheese and 3/4 cup of blueberries. Or an orange and two whole eggs. I do better without starchy carbs on my snacks.
Does the website ship their products to India? You could always order the myoplex products online and get them shipped to you.
