So I have a couple of questions about some ingredients that I cannot find at King Soopers, Safeway , Whole Foods or Sunflower.
1. Sugar Free Maple Syrup - I have been using Sugar Free syrup like Mrs. Butterworth but I cannot find Sugar Free Maple Syrup anywhere.
2. Unsweetened Apple Juice - I can find natural apple juice, apple juice with no additives etc and I dont know if any of these are the same as unsweetened apple juice but I cannot find a container that says unwseetened apple juice
3. Pumpkin puree - I know that there is a shortage or there was a shortage for anything with pumpkin in it but the stores are now getting pumpkin products in and I cannot find anything that says pumpkin puree. There are a lot of choices for pumpkin pie filling but I cannot find anything labeled as pumpkin puree.
Also I just got several recipes in the mail recently for Body Makeover Meals. Has anybody seen these? The recipes seem to be very similar to Body for Life Recipes where they contain good carbohydrates and protein with every meal. For example here is a recipe for Meat Loaf and with each one of these recipes they recommend a side dish.
Meat loaf:
2 pounds lean ground turkey breast or chicken breast
1 cup onion chopped
1/2 cup celery diced
1 clove garlic minced
1 curp rice cooked
2 egg whites
1 cup tomato sauce (no sodium added)
1/2 tsp oregano
1/2 tsp thyme
1/2 tsp black pepper freshly ground
1/4 cup chopped parsley fresh
1/4 cup tomato sauce (no sodium added) - THis is added to the top of the meat loaf when baking
They then recommend their mashed potato recipe with this
Mashe potatoes:
4 russet potatoes
1/4 - 1/2 cup chicken broth (no sodium added)
black pepper freshly ground
And they then have what the call elegant versions of these mashed potatoes so they have a garlic roasted potatoes, elegant porcini mashed potatoes, zesty "horse"mashed potatoes
not sure on the juice and syrup, but pumpkin puree should be in any typical grocery (canned). picked up some last week.
