I feel I have been away from the forum scene for much too long!
So where I am:
Last June, I had gone from 193 lbs to 165 lbs in 4 months! Still can't believe I did that! Since then, I moved to Michigan, where I started running many miles outside, and kept the weight off.
Then Christmas back home happened, and then Michigan Polar Vortex happened, and let's be real, my motivation slid a bit, and some of the weight came back. 10 lbs of it. I'm weighing in 175.
So I'm thinking of going back to basics. Going back to the interval running, rather than straight up mileage. Going back to the food journaling.
I love BFL, and I think this is something I'll do for the rest of ever (with my boyfriend, he's been doing an amazing job in BFL these last few months!), I just need to jump a bit more on the wagon then I have been. It's easy to think you you got this under control, and that the basics can become more guidelines than something actually followed, but to be honest, I think you really have to make those as strong as ever!
So I'd love any advice, encouragement, whatever you have to give. :) Thanks!
You want motivation do you, I am on week one and so motivated, I feel unstoppable,
I think you should go back to basics, people here just keep telling me this works, only one way to really find out, just do it. I do genuinely feel it working, even at this early stage. I am sending you positivity.
My success is your success.
Thank you Jeff! Seriously, this program does work if you follow it! This program has changed my life and my perception on what I'm capable of
Thanks for sharing your enthusiasm!!
Hey there maemouse!
Congrats on losing the weight firstly, and congrats on only getting to 10 pounds and wanting to do something NOW! Huge step! So many of us (me included) get to that point and think, what the heck, it's too late, I couldn't be bothered - bugger it and just continue to get fatter and fatter!
With your BF doing it, should make it great for the two of you... don't forget the strength training as well as bringing the cardio back in line also!
I have been away from the forums for over two years, I'm doing C4wk3 because I gained nearly all the weight back (stupid huh), well yesterday I had an epiphany, for me personally, I realise I need this forum beyond the 12 weeks for if and when I do start to slide or get bored or whatever - by helping others become closer to who they want to be, I feel inspired by life and this is a forum I can use to be that person - this is my first step going forward (I also created a thread in the "13 weeks and Beyond" category to journal). Your needs may be different, but just sayin what my plan is to do things different this time.. because I realise I really need to do something different - the 12 weeks is the easy part!
All the best!
Obstacles are the quickest way to decipher the
winners from the losers....
Thank you Aussie-Debs! I really needed to hear that! I'll definitely check out your forum. I totally agree...the first 12 weeks is the easy part! After that you, you need the forums to not let yourself slide, either in the way that I don't need this anymore, or I don't need to be as precise anymore. And seeing other people on their journey is one of the strongest motivations.
You go girl! <3
