man i really dont like the protein powder shakes with water...is it ok to use skim milk? thanks for the reply
I love the ready to drink Myoplex shakes-they taste delicious and you don't have to bother with mixing in water.
I agree with Lori, but I also blend my protein with almond milk or 1/2 water & 1/2 almond milk. I think skim milk would be o.k., if you factor in the carbs & protein.

I agree with both Lori and BDMom. Another thing I do is mix Orange flavoured EAS PUSH with chocolate protein powder and man it is good! I also use a blender in the morning and mix in some frozen fruit. It is local fruit I bought in the summer and measured out then put it in my freezer so I know it has no sugar added. A blender also really helps with the texture compared to a shaker bottle.
just an idea
I have always mixed my Whey Protein Powder with Orange Crystal Light, about 1/2 C. fruit and ice; it's really good.
As for the Myoplex, I like the way it tastes mixed with just the Crystal Light and water.
I have even been known to carry shaker bottles with me and Crystal Light, and pour the ready-to-drink shakes in the shaker bottle and sprinkle in Crystal Light. Although, it tastes fine without the extra flavoring.

yes milk is fine, one of the best sources of protein.
On lifting days I use Myoplex Vanilla Greek Yogurt (Great source of Protein) add some cinnamon and one tablespoon of peanut butter and 0% milk for lots of protein.
Cardio days just myoplex and milk or sometimes water.
My Favorite...Myoplex Original Vanilla Cream, frozen mixed berries (Blueberry, Marionberry and raspberry). Water w/ extra ice and blended......OhYea!
It's ok to use skim. Just keep in mind that there are a few extra calories and carbs involved. Other than that it's fine.
Skim milk is fine. Personally, any drink that makes me use sweetened milk makes me nauseous.

milk is not just carbs FYI
** milk is not just carbs, but also a complete protein
