Oh those before photos

  • You must maintain a sense of humor at all times when you do before photos.  I've taken mine FIVE times in the past two weeks.  Four times last week because I couldn't get the camera focused.  Then I had the worst stomach virus I've ever had in my life mid-week so I decided to start over this week.  So I dragged the tripod out again.   And - the little yellow bikini.   I figured yellow would be fun.

Little did I know when I saw my photos I'd look like a short, fat, marshmallow peep.

Wait til those after shots, perhaps I'll look like a sleek little baby duck.

I do wish my dogs would stop laughing at me though.

  • oh BluesKat...I'm laughing right now! Not at you, but of the comparison to the marshmallow peeps and the dogs!! Cracking me up, lady!

So you started today? So did I (Challenge 2). I wish you the best and your wishes for the sleek baby duck look! :0)

  • Love, love, love your sense of humor!!

  • hehheeheh! TOO cute and funny! I have to admit that I copied and pasted your post to a few friends who know about BFL bec it was so entertaining! Thank you for the chuckle!

  • Ironically, today I came into the office and they were gathered around the microwave having a "marshmallow peep jousting tournament".  I was spared.

Glad I could make you all smile.  You have to smile, right?  I remember those some 10 years ago when I got my first before photos back.  Way back in the day when you had to suffer the utter humiliation of taking them to a one hour photo shop.  I got into my car, opened them up and cried.

That's not me anymore.  No tears.  Just laughs.  I'm on day 3 and I already feel it happening.  My attitude, my walk, the change really does start on the inside.

I should probably post on the Gratitude thread that I am grateful for my tripod.  And the timer on my camera.  Without those two tools, ugh, I'd have to look like a big fat marshmallow peep in FRONT of someone.

  • Yes, I am smiling and laughing!  Remember not at you, but at your sense of humor!  A peep jousting tournament???? Exactly where do you work?! lol!

Yes, I agree with the way back when pics....I have my 13 yr old daughter take my pics, at least she didn't laugh at me or say, "Oh my gosh mom..."

Yes,post to the Gratitude thread, it's a great place to go to so your can remember everything you are thankful for every day and every hour of your life.

  • Hi Debbie!  you have no idea how bizarre it was for me to walk into our little lunchroom and see marshmallow peep carcasses all over the place.  I broke out into a cold sweat thinking i was next.

The VP of our company (software company) decided we needed a jousting event.  basically two people each take a peep, push a toothpick into it, set them down with their "swords" crossed on a paper towel, then stick them in the microwave to see which one pokes the other.

We're big on relieving stress.  I've only been here not quite 3 months and it's a great place to work.

Now did you bribe your daughter not to make fun of you?

I have three enormous dogs.  They all ended up leaving the room because they couldn't control their laughter any longer.

    You started Monday too, right?

  • OMG I so know what you mean........I have mine and man.... I dont remember looking quite like that but hey... I cant wait to see your progress.. maybe Ill post my pics one day.. Im wk2 day3.... btw. the peep comment cracked me up.. thanks i needed that haha.
