So after the 12 weeks (started May 12th,2010) I only lost 11 lbs and not much of a physical change. I'm going to keep going and try to see if I make any more progress. I'm a little reluctant to officially enter again since I didnt see much of a change with the challenge I just finished. I have about 10 more lbs. to lose and a lot more toning up to do before I reach anything close to the past champions.
Heh, if the day you started someone offered you 11 pounds off, would you have taken it -I bet you would. Well done - celebrate your success, even if it is only part of the way to where you wanted to go.
As for comparing yourself to the champions, note that not all of them followed the programme exactly (see Hussmanfitness.com B4L support page for some examples). Also, genetics plays a part. Some people will by their nature get faster/ more noticeable results than others. So don't be too harsh on yourself. Also, note that there are some champions who entered three or four successive challenges before they reached their goal weight. That is what focus and dedication can get you.
Why don't you keep giving it a try, and see just how far you can go. I am sure you can reach your goals, even if it takes more than 12 weeks. All the best.
11 pounds is an accomplishment! During my first challenge I realized I was not going to have "Champion" results and I did want to say the heck with it! ( I only lost 12# and I have A LOT more than 10 more to go) But I did notice a difference from day 1 to day 84, (I have my progress posted on my profile.) Jaypee is right, although I'm not where I wanted to be, I was glad to no longer be where I was at day 1. I'm in week four of my second challenge and the weight loss is still slow, but steady, in some of us it will just take longer, but I'm confident even I will get those "Champion" results and so will you, so keep at it!!!!

Congrats on finishing. My first challenge I lost 9.5 pounds. I am glad you are going to continue this because Body FOR LIFE is not just a 3 month diet and workout plan it is a new outlook on nutrition and fitness. Did you go 100% by the book? What obstacles did you overcome? Seeing how you have 10 pounds left to lose 11 pounds is a great accomplishment. I lost 9.5 but still needed to lose 8-10 more but I kinda gave up on challenge 2 and I started again 6 weeks ago heavier than my first challenge. Way to not give up on it!

The less you have to lose, the slower you typically lose. Also, you gain muscle so you have to factor that into the equation. I think your weight loss is impressive, and I am sure you feel much better without that added weight. I think challenge 2 is probably better for everyone, because they have had time to figure out how it all really works. Best of luck in your second challenge, and DO enter; it will give you the extra incentive.

Thank you very much for the incentive .. hopefully this 2nd time will be easier and more successful!
Thank you for your response. I feel a bit better with the 11lb loss. Just hope it keeps going.. I will enter again and hopefully with more of a transformation.
