I was working 12 hours today. So I got home & got changed for the gym, and went and did my LBW. and I have to say I had the best LBW workout since starting this journey, I hit a few 10's and it just felt great. And my leg muscle was almost fully recovered. After my workout i did some extra exercises for my obliques. I have to say I am really pleased i have not missed a workout yet, and I am resisting the old crappy foods i used to eat. I really feel the next 2 weeks i will really get my diet spot on, and I have been upping my weights every workout. I'll just be glad when I've got rid of this excess fat round my mid section.
1 question, does the fat generally leave the mid section last ?
Things are going very good. Looking forward to my birthday treats on sunday.
My success is your success.
I'm glad your leg is ok!
Well the say "abbs" are made in the kitchen.. so by week 12 you are at your leanest after 12 weeks of fat reducing and usually for guys the abbs start to pop if the bodyfat % is low enough... so going on that theory... I'd say yes.. for women it's more the "pooch" - belly button and below.. for the guys it's more the abbs - you are hoy doing awesome buddy!
Enjoy your birthday mate, especially your hand picked Carrot Cake! Good Job!
Obstacles are the quickest way to decipher the
winners from the losers....
YAY Jeff! I sit here with smiles. SO proud of you!
I agree with Deb - keep doing what you are doing. You are a paper towel roll, just peeling off those layers ALL over (not in spots) one by one.
If I knew how to spot reduce, I'd have the legs I always envied. We all are built in our own beautiful way ... keep the faith!
By far my lowest point yet, got home after work and water leaking through walls & light fittings. I got into one of my depressive moods, and felt like all was against me. I even ended up eating some cake through feeling sorry for myself. I didn't even enjoy the cake . Later I made some chicken sandwiches & a protein shake, and dragged myself out of my pit of sadness. Later I went to the gym and took it out on the rower, i even did some bicep curls and some sit ups.
Don't beat yourself up over the cake. The truth is your body maybe needed a complex carb -- albeit not a great choice. I have noticed that I start the weeks off with a ton of energy and then I feel drained towards the end of the week. I think the energy early on is coming from taking true off days on Sunday. The bottom line is you finished the day strong. Feel could about that and don't, let one piece of cake derail you.
You are doing great!
Got up at 2:30 am & went to the gym to do UBW, had a nice workout, as I had the whole gym to myself.
Got some really bad news, my insurance does not cover my roof damage, so i now have to find a way of fixing the problem.
Insurance companies quite happily take your money, and when it comes time to pay, tell you there is nothing they can do for you.
Oh well, could be worse, much worse.
Good LORD Jeff!!! Pack your family up and move to Canada! LOL. I have 2 close friends here now that have done that, and they are over the top happy here!
I'd love to move to canada, legsy, maybe I will one day,
I am really feeling a lot of peace inside, I mean I'm still stressed, but I am finding things manageable.
On a side note, my wife had a routine breast screening, and had a follow up letter asking to do more investigations. They say when it rains it pours. I don't want pity, not that I'd get it here, I just want everyone to send some positivity my way.
Thankfully doing body for life has made me not only physically stronger but also mentally stronger. Thanks for all the support. I love you all. X.
Jeff, holy hell!! Peace and serenity sent your way! I'm happy you're still working the program. It does help to keep your head on straight. Please let us know when things start turning around for you.
Life goes on, I can't let what's going on around me stop me doing this for 84 days.
I got up at 8:00 am, then went to do 20 mins on the cross trainer, in all honesty if I wasn't doing BFL I think I'd be an emotional wreck, now that doesn't mean I'm not being challenged, i certainly am. But it's having a positive focus, my body is changing but it's got a lot to do with the diet.
I'm off to treat myself to some new gym shoes, my birthday treat.
Woo Hoo! Happy birthday Jeff! What a GREAT gift to self! I love your attitude. MAN, when the chips fall, the strong rise above! You are my hero!
I got a look this morning too...lol...I worked out at home, ramped up my pace a bit, which is odd for a 5am TM walk. It was getting mental, so I started counting my steps. 142/min. I could've gone a wee bit faster, but the cord from my headphones has been ripped out of my head more than one occasion from my flailing arms. Ill leave a quicker step count for the times I can play my music through a stereo, not my phone. ANYWAYS, I opened the double doors and apparently had a grin on from ear to ear, and a soggy shirt. I got a "Good morning! Why are you so happy! It's morning, and a work day..." HA ha Ha ahhhh....those that do not workout do not know the endorphins that start our day and make us so happy! :D
Excerise is my drug. I'm addicted. No intervention required.
I have some good news, my wife's dad can loan us the money to fix our roof, we are truly blessed.
I am also getting the diet & exercise bug quite bad, if I go too long without food now my body lets me know.
I am addicted to the positive drugs my body produces.
Hi Jeff, Glad you're getting the money to fix the roof! It was good you got through the rough patch with BFL and exercise. Hope you at least got to relax on your birthday!

Whether you think you can or you think you can't, you'll be right!
I can relate to the exercise helping us get through the day, Legsy. I missed this morning because it was snowing and I wanted to wait and see how bad it was going to be. By the time the snow lightened up a bit, I had to leave for work.
I can also relate to the cord of the iPod being ripped out while running. It happens to me all the time on the treadmill. The gym plays awful music.
I have a great MP3 player i use, is has no ear phone cables to dangle & get in your way, the MP3 player has the ear phones integrated in The actual mp3 unit. It is the sony NWZ-W273. Check it out, great for using in cardio exercises.
