  • It feels so good to have a free day. I must confess I was on the HCG diet for the past 23 days. I am done with it an moving on. I had 4-5 co-workers do it and I wanted to test it out myself to see if it was worth it. If you want to know the details of it read "Pounds & Inches: A New Approach to Obesity by Dr. A.T.W. Simeons. In the 23 days I was on the diet I  lost 11.8 pounds (only 6.6 lbs of fat). I cheated on the diet Super Bowl Sunday. Everything I ate on the diet was BFL approved but the like 1/3 of the calories.

    Pros:

Not hungry very often (excluding the first 2-3 days)

    Lost 0.2 to 1.4 pounds a day

    Lower blood pressure

Saved a ton of money on food

Did not go out to eat

    Cons:

I lost strength in my biceps and distance in my runing

I was unable to go out with friends or go out to eat

Almost half the weight loss was water weight (due to low sodium intake)

    Facts:

I went from 38in to 35.5 in in my waist (measure at belly button)

I ate way more fruit and vegetables than I had been eating

    Starting Weight:

    186.8 lbs

    18.8% body  fat

    Ending Weight:

    175 lbs

    16.3% body fat

    1-28-11                                                                                  2-19-11

My autofocus was not working in the after picture.

I would only suggest/support this diet for someone who has over 40 pounds to lose.

It will be back to BFL 6 meals a day starting tomorrow

  • what an awesome look thru the years at your pics.  It's like it went from fat party guy to more mature in shape guy.  That last one doesn't even look like the same guy from 7 years ago!
