Back start of week 1                                                                                              Back end of week 3

I started my challenge on 1/2/12 at 271lbs at 6'2".  I really didn't want to post these before pics but here they are anyways.  By the end of week 3 I was down to 258.5lbs.  I lost 12.5 lbs in 3 weeks and just finished week 4 yesterday and weighed in at 255.5lbs.  I'm hoping to crack into the 240's within the next 2 weeks!!!  4 weeks down and 8 to go!!!!  My goal was to be 221lbs by the end of the 1st challenge, however I may need a second one to get there.  But I'm very pleased with my progress thus far!!!!

  • Congrats on the killer progress your making keep it up you can easily make your goal !!!!!

I started my first challenge at the same weight as you about 270 lbs and at the end of the first challenge I was 218 lbs stick to it you doing great

  • pperk, great progress and very proud of you!  Glad to see you are staying focused and on track.  It really does get easier.  Keep taking pics, even if its just for you.  I find myself studying them more and more and realize changes that I don't see day to day.  It's almost comical at times lol...

  • awesome job!!! keep it up!!

  • Thanks everyone for the kind words and all of the encouragement!!!!!

  • I see that you started at almost the same exact height and weight, and have similar goals.  I'm not done with the 3rd week yet, but after two lost 9 lbs.  I'm curious, do you use any supplements?  I'm just looking to lose a lot of weight and haven't tried any supplements, so wasn't sure if I should be using any.

  • Chillers,

I have used NO supplements at all except for a once a day multi-vitamin.  I've been eating 6 real food meals a day with at least 30g of protein a meal.  However, I have been eating vegetables with at least 3 meals and sometimes 4 meals a day.  Also I eat fruit as my carb for 3 of my meals.  So by eating all the vegetables and fruit I'm ensuring that I consume all the vitamins/minerals/antioxidants that my body needs and have no need for supplements.  Not to mention that real food tastes better and keeps you feeling "full" longer!!!  Good luck on your goals!!!

  • Well week 5 is in the books and I weighed in this morning at 253.5 lbs.  So I lost 2 lbs this past week and 17.5lbs thru week 5.  I've been going back and forth as to whether I was gonna enjoy some beer today on the Super Bowl and I decided to buy some Bud 55's and enjoy!!!  I normally would drink Bud Light so at least whatever I drink today it will be half of the calories that I would have taken in had I drank Bud Light. The Super Bowl landing in the middle of a challenge is just bad timing.  However, I won't drink another beer for the remainder of this challenge. So I guess today will be an experiment as to whether or not drinking on my "free day" will have an impact on my fat loss for the week.  I've been averaging between 2 and 3.5 lbs a week besides for the first week which was 7 lbs, so we will see next Sunday when I weigh in.  Go Patriots!!!!

  • Great job on your progress! Pics really do help to keep the motivation going! I like your decision to do the veggies and fruits vs. supplements, thats a great idea! :)

Hope the beer doesnt set ya back!! (Sorry bout the game, although Im a Giants fan...)

  • Excellent!!!!  Keep on being a motivating factor for others!!!

    Brez

  • good work!! push it all the way till the end!
