i'm getting disappointed .. I started my challenge on May 12th. I am starting my week 10, and I only lost 11 lbs and my physique hasn't changed that much. I figured it might have been from a slow fitness start for first 2 weeks, but I still though I'd see more of a change. I have been following the eating plan pretty close. There are some days where I don't get in all 6 small meals, but I am eating the items listed in the book for my eating plan. Plus using whey protein in my foods and drinking the Myoplex lite shakes after work-outs and eating protein bars as a quick meal. I also started taking the CLA tablets two weeks ago. I havn't seen the "sudden results" everyone says happens in week Seven either.
It's actually weeks 8-12 when folks see the biggest results. Some are fortunate and see a larger loss all at once than others do. Stay the course, you're tired both mentally and physically. And now is when a negative mindset creeps in for some folks. Be sure you are getting plenty of rest and keep your eating as clean as possible. 11 pounds is not anything to take lightly so evidently you are doing things right. Have patience and keep pushing forward.

Michelle Simpson ~2009 Body-for-LIFE Champion 46+ Catagory
I started to get negative and jaded around week 10 since I had such high expectations. My active rest turned inactive and my second challenge fell flat on its face. Stay positive and don't expect to see the results of the champions on this site. It is body-for-life not just 12 weeks. Keep at it and realize you have lost 11 pounds. Do you take tape measurements and photos every 4 weeks? It took me 3 months and gaining 10 pounds (some of it muscle because I still lifted weights) before I found the motivation to do a challenge again. Try to hold onto that drive and push forward.

Thank you for the support!
thank you for the encouragement.. i am proud of myself for sticking with the program almost to a "t", especially since I stopped eating right and exercising about 5 yrs ago after my divorce. I made my mind up to make a change so I went for it ... I will continue the plan even after the 12 weeks are over since I did lose 11 lbs so far. I havnt done measurement every 4 weeks because I was afraid the results weren't going to be what I expected. I entered the challenge back in May but I forgot to get my body fat measured so I cant actually submit anything so maybe I'll enter again..
