Ok, me, my mom and my 16 yr old daughter are all entering the challenge together, starting Monday. I did BFL after the birth of my twins 10 yrs ago and lost 26 lbs. and was 14% body fat....it was a transformation like no other. Never entered the challenge just followed the book. Now we're all 3 entering the challenge and following the workout as well as the recipes. I'm confused however on which supplements are most effective and beneficial in fat loss and muscle gain. I"m readin on the website and there are many referred to - the ones I've listed above are most notable. Please someone respond as to which ones are best fit for this regiment, how ofter per day of which ones...Thank you.
It all depends on what your goals are. If the only goal is fat loss, then CLA is probably the best supplement. If muscle gain is also a goal, then a product which has some creatine and some other amino acids in it would be good for that. For most first time challengers the one really necessary supplement is in the form of meal replacement shakes for a couple of meals a day. These help you to ensure that you get the six small meals in each day and also to get plenty of good quality protein and vitamins and minerals in your diet.
Also....don't feel you have to use supplements at all. I am not using any except for generic protein powder for after my resistance training. My results have been fine. I'm on week 8 now and I truly feel that eating clean and getting your cardio and resistance training in are what makes this work.
Do those two things and don't cheat yourself by cheating. Don't lie to yourself about intensity. Push yourself hard and reap the reward.

95% of America is deficient in Omega 3. Fish Oil is a supplement we should all take, on BFL or not. It will also aid in fat loss.

With respect for Fish Oil, I asked my new favorite man at Popeyes yesterday if by NOT taking my FIsh Oil, would I lose some scale weight. He told me to continue taking Fish Oil with my CLA and BCAA's. I just wanted another opinion, and there it is. Fish Oil is a great supplement and will not hinder scale weight loss.
You know what's funny Legs? Popeye's is a Canadian supplement company, but here in the states, a fried chicken fast food place.
Yes, take your fish oil. I'm not a huge fan of CLA, but see no issue with you taking it.

Now that is funny! Thanks for clarifying that - people must wonder about my choices. lol. They really promote the CLA here - 4000mg daily. I bought CLA extreme yesterday with green tea in it. They guarantee my scale will go down in 3 weeks. Im giving it a try from my regular CLA.

absolutely. 1 has nothing to do with the other.
Between the fish oil, cla, creatine and bcaa's I was losing track of what when.
Yesterday I bought a dosette and filled up all the slots for a week.
I feel old.
Quick question about CLA... does it matter if you take your daily dosage all at once or should you split it up throughout the day? Are there any benefits to taking it before/after your workout?
