I believe you! You Will Get Fit. I think it is awesome that your husband is doing this with you. Having a partner go through it with you can be a great support system. My wife is pregnant, so she is not doing the program with me. One thing about having a partner though is they can also be quickest person to you off your fitness path. It they get tired one day, it is easier to skip a workout together than push them to complete anyways. So beware of that. However, based on your past history I truly believe that you will succeed!
first upper body workout is complete! Very happy about that. Definitely have to find a way to make sure our form is correct. Ihave a ffeeling that area needs improving. Anyone have any tips on figuring out form? We are doing this at home so there is no one to consult. Besides that....stuck to the meal plan and that was super easy. Feels good to have my eating back on track.
WOW HIIT is no joke! I can confidently say I hit my 10 on my very first cardio workout. Im feeling good. Ate well today..dranklots of water. So far so good! My uupper body is starting to get sore from last nights workout. I love it:-)
Day 2 complete!
I bet you felt that cardio for a few hours. It is amazing the impact of the cardio when you give it all. Thank you for your nice comment on my pictures. Iam glad to see that you are off to a great start. Keep it up!
I started the 13th also. The first I did well. UBWO about 9.5 meal plan executed. Got my cardio in this morning and have stuck to meal plan so far today. Cardio is not my favorite so I know I really need to focus on it. I could really feel how out of shape I was this morning.
If I favorite this thread where do I find it?
Im excited to do the lower body workout tonight. Im Definetly stronger there. I took pics of myself last night. I decided not to dwell on how upset I was when looking at them. I tucked the pictures away and have no intentions of looking at them for at least 8 weeks. The front shot and side shot wasn't a surprise. The back shot was like holy moly! who is that chick? But that's what brings me here so it is what it is--and Im changing that.
Dan you are doing great! And you are right--I felt great afterwards. I haven't used my exercise bike in years. Normally when I do cardio I get on the treadmill--but I wanted to change things up. I an anxious to get back on there tomorrow. And the whole 20 minute thing---I love that. Its over before you know it! No excuses on not fitting that in the day!
dmartar-- keep up the great work!! I started on sunday & Im feeling good. The healthy foods really make an instant difference for me. Everytime I get off track with eating--I feel like crap. Then I get back on track and I get mad at myself because I always feel so much better and I don't know why I ate the crap in the first place haha. But I guess its the trap a lot of us fall into. It does taste good for a few seconds going down--but then afterwards--your tired and even more hungry and it just gets worse.
IWGF, sounds like you are doing great also. I guess we all have certain parts of the workouts we enjoy more. I like upper body workouts, not crazy about lower body and cardio. I will have to figure out some way to enjoy them both more. I am getting my wife to take my before pics tonite and my measurements. I have a success journal that I plan on keeping track of my day to day progress. Good luck guys
LBWO went well this morning. Had to tweak some of my weights and have then in the journal for Monday. I know I said I hate lower body work outs and cardio, so I plan to attack them next week!
Week 1 is done and in the books! Feeling great!
Congrats on finishing up week 1! one step closer to the finish line! Stay strong and keep focused. You will finish this thing!!!
I have to say--I really feel good. I look forward to the workouts. I really like this plan so far. I havnet looked at the scale. And this is the only part I am struggling with because I am so afraid I am eating too much. Eating 6x a day is hard to get used to. And i am full. Many times i am not even hungry but im eating just becuase its time to eat. And adding the rice, potatos and other GOOD carbs is hard for me to get used to. I am used to really limiting carbs to one time a day (outside of fruit). So this is the part I am worried about --but not becuase i dont trust the program--but just becuase its something new for me. I am afraid of going overboard at meal time and if I don't check the scale now that im going to be sorry if I wait much longer and don't get a jump on tweaking my meals. Having said that.............I know its only week #2 but is it possible to see changes this early?? I feel like my mid section looks different already. In a good way! So then I think--ok its working. Don't look at the scale. Maybe I just check it out 2x a month and that's it? I just don't want to get discouraged by that stupid number staring at me. See, im driving myself nutty over this!
I started up a thread that may interest you, just to give you a bit of heart where the scale is concerned... it contains posts from actual female members that have been on the forums in the past (old version called "the guestbook"), it's about the dreaded scale and how a lot were going to quit..
I hope it helps ease your mind IF YOU get on the scale and it doesn't show you what you want.
Cheers and all the best!
Obstacles are the quickest way to decipher the
winners from the losers....
Thanks Aussie-Debs. I just read the thread you started. I decided before I read it to NOT look at the scale and after reading that thread--Im glad I decided not to look at it. I did lose around my waist. My clothes are a little less snug--but Im still in the same size 12/14. I have a pair of 10's that I will try on periodicially and see how they feel. I can see small changes in the mirror. So as long as I keep seeing those--I am good!!!!
