Dog Days to Body for Life

  • Yesterday, I completed the Dog Days of Summer competition at HealthTrax of Raleigh.  On July 1, over a hundred of us members posted a photo of our dogs on a huge club mirror and collected paper "bones" to tape up on the photos.  We earned our bones by working out in HealthTrax classes or doing our own cardio or weight routines.  I did it all--floor calisthenics, aquacize, yoga, pilates, Silver Sneakers classes for seniors (I'm 76), and even Zumba and line dancing.  It was fun!  Official results come out tomorrow, but I believe I actually won the contest!  Regardless, I put in a huge volume of moderate exercise, feel quite proud of myself, and have got myself ready to decrease the volume and increase the intensity.  Body for Life is an excellent way to motivate and structure my efforts, so here I am.
