JR - are you eating every 2 hours? I am jealous! Sometimes I am watching the clock to my next snack! Are you the cook in the house? Cause that is a lot of meals to prep for. Just looking at your diet for today, you are eating trout, chicken and steak. Where are all your veggies and fruit my friend?
Heyyyyyy Pottymouths!!!! So much awesomeness, so little time....We should really be given an award for most entertaining thread :-)
David, that George picture made me die! hahahah! Can't-Standya! PS, the following finale was soooo good last night. But back to TWD! I just got into it a couple months ago. And I had the privilege to watch all 3 seasons back to back. It was pretty amazing. There were days I was watching it on my iPhone at work.... The husband was all, eh, I don't know.....And then he sucked himself in and watch all 3 seasons in 4 days. Baby G was a tad neglected and subjected to flesh eating zombies.....Which is probably why she growls so much now and tries to eat my face.....IT'S SO GOOD! I still can't get over that the lovesick friend from Love Actually is Cold as Ice Rick. Hmmmmm. Well done!
Jr, way to step up your funnies... ;-) " maybe-I-can-drink-like-I-am-in-college-Saturday" Good stuff. 2 enthusiastic thumbs up. I'm going to do my very best and model my behavior after you. You are SUCH a good example. :) PS, what time is your last meal? Like midnight?!?!
OMG, Sue; "I heard I had an awesome time!" Hilarious!!!!! I'm so glad we all having drinking in common. It could get awkward otherwise. ;-) I'm so with you on not feeling like I got my freeday out.....confession, I drank friday night with my neighbors....I was just going to take baby G out for a walk and I went over to visit my girls and they were all like, heeeeyyyyyy Gina! Wanna drink some sangria with us?!?! And then when that runs out do you wanna drink some Moscato with us? And then when THAT runs out, wanna stumble back to your house for a glass of whatever-the-hell-you-can-get-your-hands-on-before-babyG's-bedtime? Oops. I did it again....and again....and again....
Shorty, I'll have to call Cuisinart. Unacceptable! I'm down to 2 days of EFL pannies.....No beuno. I hear you sister on FB privacy! Nothing gets tagged of me or put on my timeline without my approval. Thanks, Zuckerberg. I've had wayyyyyyyy too many unflattering photos put up. FB was around when I was in college (like the last year or so), but not the same way it is now. I feel bad for my little (11 years younger) sister. Her entire high school and now college is out there for the world to see. Good thing she didn't take too much after me ;-)
Foods planned: M1: EFL Pancakes/Coffee S1: Yogurt/SC M2: chicken sausage/rice/mozz S2: greek yogurt/apple M3: Turkey Burger--against my better judgement. S3: Protein Pudding. OMG, try this already!
Obstacles you have to overcome today: Nothing really.......
Help you need or some great tips you want to share: Try the pudding! Try the pudding!
Positive statement about yourself: Looking pretty ok in this dress today!
We both cook, depending on our schedules. My wife is awesome about helping out, when her schedule allows. She's a teacher/coach and umpire... so she's stays crazy busy. Track season ended last week, and softball is in full swing!
The fish and chicken were grilled at the same time Sunday night (that's easy). 2lbs of fish and 3lbs of chicken! Luckily I have a huge grill! It may even make David's truck jealous.
I should put a little more focus on veggies. I'll get broccoli and snap peas with my stir fry tonight. Fruit- I have 1 cup of Orange Juice (the good stuff- Simply Orange) every morning and at least 1 piece of fruit (today a banana).
Gina- I usually finish my dinner around 8p. If I have a casein protein shake, that's right before bed (10p).
I typically eat at 6a, 8a (post-workout shake), 9:30 (breakfast), 11:30-12, 3-4p, 8p, 10p (shake). I get my first 4 meals in my first 6 hours, then the later meals space out a little more.
Speaking of food... It's time to eat!!!!!
BTW Gina--- where's the hottie in a dress pic? Is that one still tied up in Brad's inbox?
Here are a few examples from today on why I'll never be teeing off with partners:
1. During a meeting about a rather mundane project, I referred to my part of the project as "the cherry on top of a sundae", whilst (yes, whilst) raising my arms over my silly little head like a ballerina--you know, where the cherry would be. Probably not the most professional move in a room full of men.
2. During another kill-me-in-the-face meeting, I proceeded to NOD OFF the entire time. Couldn't keep my eyes open. Thankfully there were mothers in the room that understand my sleep deprivation, but still, mortifying. Thanks, baby G.
And of course the Brad Chronicles from last week. All there's left for me to do it sleep my way to the top. AHHHH. What a Tuesday.
At least you'll always have the "sleep my way to the top" card that I can't play!
OOOOOOOOOOooooooo... You guys got in T-R-O-U-B-L-E!
This is an entertaining thread and a great group. Everyone seems like everyone here is dedicated to the challenge and is making fantastic progress. I haven't stopped in in a little while, but I did see Gina's pics the other day. You're doing awesome! Just wanted to stop in and razz you guys for getting called out.
GINA! Your pics are bringing all the boys in the hood! We got passers-by from neighboring threads stopping in to check you out!
Justin is over in the Gladiators thread... I read through them everyday. They have a bit of a chip on their shoulder, and think they're the best on the forum. But we all know what's up. We may be small in number, but we dominate in kicking (I really want to swear here)!!!
Thanks for stopping in Justin! Make sure you let your crew know how much BUTT we're kickin' over here.
Bahhh! Highly entertaining work stories Gina! I worked in deep technology (SAP) for 10 years where i was the only chick in many a meeting. I am sure you can totally get away with any cute quirky thing you want! Was Brad in the meeting? So is baby G still not sleeping through the night?? How is the tough love going? That is what we had to do with the two boys. You just need to have another night like last Friday and I am sure you will not be getting up for all the noise she makes.
Jr - are you going to post a pic of your massive grill like David posts his monster trucks? If y'all don't watch out I'll post my mom vehicle - THE MINI VAN! I know, you are all totally jealous. They had me a sliding doors and I have never turned back.
These chats are making me feel old with Facebook in college. I didn't even have a cell phone in college! Gina, do you use Instragram and Twitter too? I see you doing the # thing - geez I'm out of touch!
Sue - let's not go there....."technologies I enjoyed while in college for 500 Alex." When I graduated from Baylor University (RG III Heisman baby!) CD players were just coming out on the market. Heck (keepin it clean...somebody has to) in my information systems class, MS Dos was it! Gotta see your MINI Van now since you brought it up. Is yo slidin door automatic?
speaking of jeapardy catogories, one of my favorite SNL skits was Celebrity Jeapardy. Darrell Hammond did a great Sean Connery!
Sean Connery: Well, the game is afoot. I'll take anal bum cover for 7,000.
Alex Trebek: That's An album cover, not anal bum cover.
Sean Connery: I can read, Trebek. That says Anal bum cover. I've spent five years of my life trying to invent an anal bum cover, failing to do so is my greatest regret.
Gina - man, do you or JR get any work done? Gotta admit, I have to scroll back a few to keep up with your multiple posts and crossposts. Entertaining they are. I've known several like you in the meetings of my past. Love me some comic relief. However, a few years ago I supervised a unit of 5 females. Man, it was ........... uh......er...uh .... challenging at times.
JR - you're like a marsupial eating all the time. I wish I could eat every two hours. I have to make myself eat before the third hour. Now, I am a part of the Gladiator family and I think chip on the shoulder is a little harsh. Been a little quiet since the challenge ended and everyone went back to binge eating. No doubt the thread will be going full steam now that C2 has begun. I must admit, the humor is certainly in spades over here. Me and Justin have been trying to loosen them up a little bit. Gotta have fun no matter what's goin on. By the way, thanks for the encouragement to my boy. I s/w him this morning. He's tired of me dominating on him so he started yesterday. He's actually around 207 and only wants to lose about 10. At his age, it'l come off easy. His only challenge will be putting the fork down. The boy can eat! When he left for school, I got a raise b/c our food bill dropped enormously. It's going to be fun because he'll be home in about 10 days and we can work out together some.
Excuse me, David! I only posted TWICE yesterday, thanks. The same as you. Mmmmhmmmm.
PS, Brad is talking on a conference call I'm on... right. this. second.
Excuse me, Gina! My bad. Please find it in your heart to forgive me. I did say they were entertaining, no?
You won't catch me with any chips on my shoulder or anywhere else JR. That would be a direct violation of the BFL foods list.
Hey hey CC/AA/PMAers!
Why is it that when all I want to do is stalk this thread, there's way more work that I need to take care of?! Are there any companies looking to hire a gal who just wants to socialize with her peeps?? Anyone? Anyone? Bueller? Frye? Anyone?
Jr, your one-liners about Brad are hilarious. Like totally random at times and make me bust out laughing. Gina, I'm afraid you are never going to live that down, sister ;)
And David, the pics/shows/movies you reference are top notch. Seriously, if I ever have a bad day, all I need to do is re-read all of this greatness. Although, it's incredibly difficult to have a bad day when you start it off with this thread…just isn't possible! How awesome that your son is doing BFL!!
Gina, oh.my.gawd….those meeeeeeeeetings. I haaaaaate meetings. I can't tell you how many times I've zoned out, come back to and thought please do not ask me to put my two cents in. Brutal. I feel like you could have your own reality show! It would be the most hilarious spot on TV - from the Brad incident to the meetings to taking baby G for a walk and coming back hours later, totally wasted to only doing sports for the cute outfits…I love it!
Sue, aka Mini Van Mama! It's so funny how a majority of my friends totally ripped on MVs and now that some of them have 2+ kids, they drive - and rave - about them. Hey, I don't judge ;) Ah and the whole FB/cell in college - if either one of my parents would've seen a majority of my pictures, I would've been sent to treatment, stat. And how great was it to take a roll of pictures, drop them off to be developed and not know what the *heck* was going to be on the roll until you got the pictures back? I miss those days…sure it's great having a cell/camera but the element of surprise was (swear word alert) great!
New poster: Justin - welcome lurker! :) Now that we've been scolded, do you want to start posting with us!? Come on, it's reeeeeeally fun…all the cool kids are doing it… Come back any time to razz Gina, ah I mean the group. Haha, kidding Gina…Nothing but love sister! :)
Workout planned: LB @ 5
Foods planned: 1. Greek yogurt + mixed berries + coffee 2. cottage cheese + melon 3. peanut butter on ww bagel 4. string cheese + melon 5. BFL enchiladas 6. shake
Obstacles you have to overcome today: Nada
Help you need or some great tips you want to share: (Filler text because this post isn't long enough already) Random thought: I'm addicted to lip gloss (as I look around my desk and count 9 tubes…more in my desk drawer)
Positive statement about yourself: Nice job killing it with the running last night! Sooooo wanted to give up after 20 min but kept pushing it (making up for part of a session missed last week). Felt great, sweat my *donkey* off.
I hope my facetious tone was apparent in poking fun at the Gladiators... though we all know CC'ers are superior.
Glad to see Justin's not falling victim to the lure of chips.
Celebrity Jeopardy is the Best! "Pen is mightier" "Pick Swords" "The sound a dog makes... Moo." I'd quote the whole whole thing, but there would be multiple violations of the newly instituted anti-potty-mouth policy.
Good workout this morning (UBWO- Push)- Got my last set at 225 on bench with a little help from a spotter. When I can do 3X6 at 225 I'll be really close to my 300 bench goal.
Actually got to do some work today. I'm out!
David, did we just have our first Internet fight? ;-) BIG INTERNET HUG!!!!!!
Shorty, OMG. The more people get to know me the more I hear that I should have my own reality show! Hahaha! That would be so amazing! Maybe I'll just make my own YouTube channel and wait to be discovered... ;-)
Sue, no I'm not on "the twitter" or instagram. I do however think #s are funny. they're usually perfect to add that last dig/joke to bring it allllll home. :-) I sell baby onesies on Etsy and I have a couple # inspired ones....#birthcontrol and #taxdeduction. PS, I'm sure you rock that mini van, mama!
Jr, all I could think of was the milkshake song (sooooooo 2004) when you said my pictures bring all the boys in the hood. Wait now.....isn't that a lyric, too? Ugh oh, what is it?!?!? The boys in the hood....something something....don't take no (swear).......homie......something......
Workout planned: BABY G! You're killin me smalls, you're killin me! The tough love isn't going so well....time to (wo)man up! Anyway......missed my workout this morning. Hoping to get a double up in there--I know you disapprove, Jr.... What can I do?
Foods planned: M1: EFL Pancakes/Coffee S1: Yogurt/SC M2: chicken sausage/rice/mozz S2: greek yogurt/apple M3: Turkey Mairanara Sauce with Spaghetti Squash S3: Protein Pudding.
Help you need or some great tips you want to share: I'm full of random s-monkey (that's really a word I say....) What can I tell you today that was random?......I got hit on in the Sam's Club parking lot, AGAIN. But, I mean, this IS a cute dress!
Positive statement about yourself: Waited close to 2 months to wear this adorbs mint colored dress (due to the mega cold, not even close to spring weather) and it was totally worth it! It's pretty cute!!!!!
