Just started week 5

  • So I just started week 5 and am still going strong. Have only lost about 4 lbs (per my scale) but am seeing some definite results in my body shape. My pants are all too big now (great for me, bad for my wardrobe) and I am seeing serious definition in my arms again. Woo hoo!! Amazing enough, I am actually surviving waking up at 4:30am to work out before my 7am work shift starts. It feels good to get it out of the way and on most days I actually look forward to my workouts. I am definitely feeling stronger with my strength days and am finding I have to push myself even more now to hit my 10s with my cardio. The only part that I am kind of stagnant in is my eating. Getting bored and looking for some new ideas. I typically have yogurt/ cottage cheese/ strawberries as my 1st meal after my morning workout. Have been doing a lot of egg white scrambles with various veggies mixed into my eggs. Using chicken in several different ways (Love to slather a little Franks Red Hot on it!) including chicken/ apple/ celery salad. Turkey burgers with Orowheat Thin Buns have become a staple for lunch. Eating a ton of veggies wherever I can get them in. Would love some suggestions as to others' favorite standbys. Have had several comments from coworkers this week about how "fit" I am starting to look. Keeps me motivated!!!!!!

    Turkey burgers have definitely been a save life for me too. I also love to make salads with chicken in it, and have some whole wheat toast or muffin with that. Make sure the dressing is lite/ vinigrette.

    I also love to make steak fries from fresh potato slices and dip it into salsa or hot sauce, maybe sprinkle a little low fat mozzerella cheese on it.
