Ken,
Great going on day 4!!! Wow, to the point of almost passing out.....yes, I would say that was a level 10...lol. Way to go on the weight loss so far!! Keep going at it even with your crazy schedule!! You are doing, Ken!!
Darlene
Jimmy,
Good job on the workouts! I know what you mean about the cravings....hopefully it will pass soon. Just think of your free day and how much you will have deserved it!!! That's what I am doing...lol. We can do this!
Hi everyone!
Day 4 is going great! Got in my cardio already and my meals so far. I cannot believe the will power I have had these past couple of days. I think it's because I am fed up with how much I have gained over these past couple of years...that enough is enough! It was kinda weird/funny, but yesterday I actually had a slice of pizza in my hand yesterday and I looked at it and got mad at it...lol! I told it that, "you are the reason why I am fat and that I cannot lose the weight!", and that "you are going to have to wait for my freeday, so that I can have earned you." Crazy, huh? It worked...I put the slice down and had a very bad headache from withdrawals last night, but I went to bed and that was that....I survived Day 3....now onto Day 4.
I will be back tonight to check in on you guys....
Darlene,
Congrates on the will power!!!!! you really told that Pizza a thing or two!!!! who cares if you hurt its feelings!!!! it deserved a good tounge lashing!!!! LOL!!! Keep it up. your doing well. Proud of ya!
Everyone else,
We will all have cravings, or should we call them gravings? cause if we all had kept going in the direction that we were all going, we would be that much closer to the grave. We all took a step to change our health and our life for the better.
I used to drink anywere from 2 to 4 liters of soda a day! Diet Mt Dew was my coffee. it was my main choice of drink. Morning noon and night. I havent had one since sunday evening befor the challenge and i have been craving one every day. But i have made a choice to change. I have decided that diabetes and kidney stones are not really what i want to deal with in the near future.
When we have those cravings, or gravings, lets all remember why we started this journey together. Stick to the plan. We are here for each other. I come on here everyday to keep myself accountable for my actions and to share my victories with my fellow BFL'ers! I am proud of everyone of you for taking the step to your new body! And if we have a slip up, admit your mistake, get back up, dust yourself off and get back on track, cause that is a sign of someone with true charater!! Believe in your self and in another 80 days we can all celebrate together!!!
Have a BFL day
Ken
hello all! I have not been on in a long time, i have just been very crazy lately!! I am doing ok. Eating goes wonderfully until about 7 pm and then the cravings start that you talk about. That use to me my tv and snack time but I need to refocus and make it my me time...go for a walk, get my workout in, whatever I can to move!! I am running a 5k tomorrow, should be fun!! Have a great weekend all!
Just checking in. Yesterday was a 100% day for me. I was really busy so that helped a lot! I did my upper body and we went out car shopping, so I packed my two meals in an ice chest and stuck to my game plan! Ended up getting a Dodge Grand Caravan...I really like it! I was going to make Sunday my Freeday, but I decided to switch it for today. My hubby works on Sunday (Father's Day), and I decided to make him something today and celebrate it with the family. I am enjoying my freeday!! Back to business tomorrow, though. I hope all of you are having a great weekend....Happy Father's Day to all you dads out there!! Remember stay on track, keep focused and enjoy your freeday!!!
Thanks! That is a great way to look at the cravings! We need to be healthy for ourselves and our family. Thanks for the encouragement, motivation and pep talk!!!
1BuffMomma,
Great to hear that you are doing great!! Hope you had fun on your 5K today!
Hi All
First post in this thread, but I started last Sunday (a day before you all as I take my gym free day on Saturday). I tried BFL 2/3 years ago but fropped out in Week 4 - now I'm back. I had a really good Week 1, got all eating and gym in except for one meal I just forgot to eat. My energy levels are much higher and I lost 2kg (4.5 pounds) which is great. But starting LBWO today, start of weekday 2, seemed like an uphill battle for me. Hopefully after my day off, I am back into the swing of things.
The things I want to improve on this week is hitting more 10s and less 9s/9.5's and more sleep - I'm only getting 6 and a half on average and I know I need more - that means going to bed earlier.
Hope you all enjoying your day off and getting ready for Week 2 Strong!
Hello Everyone
Havent been here for a couple days so here is how its going. Friday (day 5) went great. Upper body day! I LOVE UPPER BODY DAY!!! great workout and stuck to my diet very well.
Saturday was my free day and I started it off with my first Diet Mt Dew in 6 days and it was......uneventful. Yup. I built up the wait for that so much it was kinda blah....and i think that is good. I had a great day tho. I had my cheese dip and tortilla chip ( one of my weaknesses) and again....uneventfull. I did however go do my shopping after my first free day meal for my food for the next week. Oh ya, i spent about 30 minutes planning all my meals for the next week on friday and it made shopping go really well and i felt sooooo good at the cash register knowing i bought all good foods and spices!!!! I pickout meals from the EATING FOR LIFE book and cant wait to try them this weeek. I will be spending the day tomorrow (monday day 8 cooking every thing.)
Anyway, Sunday...fathers day, i got up at 8am after going to my MMA fights and out dancing till 2 am (i guess you could say i go in some extra cardio with the dancing on my free day cause i was sweating up a storm) and did my 20 min cardio and actuall pulled back a little this time cause i almost passed up last time and really didnt like that feeling but still a great 20 minutes. Now here is me being honest....i didnt really stick to my diet all that well today. I pick my kids up at 1045 and go my Fathers Day gift which contained....Twislers....chocolate...and Dt MT Dew!!!! LOL.... I couldnt not have a little of my gift on fathers day so indulged. Not a lot but i did and to be completely honest...i didnt feel to bad about it. i know where my head is and im focused on my goal. Im not making excusses, but it was Fathers day and enjoyed sharing my gift with my kids!!!! Thats not a cheat....its a victory in my eyes...anyway...
back at it tomorrow with lower body...eck....lol! Sticking to the meal plan and changing my life one meal, workout, and day at a time!!!! Remember dont let the setback knock you out of focus.....pick your head up, roll back those sholders, suck in that gut, stick out that chest, give me the best Superman (or woman) pose you have and move on!!!!
Have a BFL day!!!
Hi Everyone, this is my first post. I started on June 11th. I did BFL about 6 years ago I got to about week 7. It was great and I can not tell you why I stopped. I have tried so many things to lose weight and get in shape and nothing else seems to work for me. I have had a pretty good week with the exception of a few mess ups on my meal plan. It was my sons birthday this pasted week, and I did great the day of his bday but as the chocolate cake stayed around I caved. I learned #1 buy smaller cakes or send left overs home with friends and family. #2 the more tried I am the more likely I am to eat the things I shouldn't. I am really excited and determined. I have never posted anything in the forums but I know I need the support of others. my goals this week is to push hard during my work outs and get more sleep. Thanks for listening hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.
Kelly
Ugh!!! This weekend was horrible! Instead of having a freeday I had a Free weekend!!! I feel so awful. I had loss 2.5 lbs on come this past Friday, but when I got on the scale today I regained that back and a little more. I feel like I threw a whole week of hardwork and dedication out the darn window!! Well, back to business. I am going to be on plan now and hopefully not slip ups like that over the weekend happen to me again! Thanks guys....that is my rant for the day....I am off my soap box for now.
Hope all of you stayed strong over the weekend and are giving today all you have....
Welcome Kelly!
Ooooh, chocolate cake! A woman's best friend or worst enemy!! Good for you on analyzing where you went wrong and what to do next time. It's nice to post on forums...gives you the motivation you need to keep going. Glad to have you on board with us!
Welcome HappyB!
Hope you are getting the sleep you need. Sounds like you are doing great with the workouts! Keep it up!
Hi Ken!
Glad you had a great Father's day and time out on Saturday. Sounds like you are doing good. Way to go!! Yes, you needed to enjoy your Father's day...you get a pass for having a good weekend. Let us know what kind of recipes you cook up out of the cook book and let us know how they taste. I have the cookbook, but I still need to dig it outta my closet and go through it. Have a great Monday (oh, I struck that Super woman pose like you suggested to us....felt good...now to fly through this week with power!) Thanks!
