Way to hang in there through day 2, everyone! Happy day 3!! I got my lower body workout in this am and my legs were like jello. My calves kept cramping when I was trying to shave my legs in the shower afterward, haha! One thing I like about the upper body workout from Monday is that is could all be done with free weights in one area of the gym. This morning I was running from machine to machine to get the supersets done. I did lunges for my 1st hamstring exercise and is was brutal!!! After doing my 1st UB and LB workouts I know I didn't hit any 10s but now that I know what weight range I need to be lifting and have run through each workout once I can start aiming for that next week.
I liked how Aphrodite posted her meals- I think if we all do that periodically it'll give us new ideas so I'll post my meals for today: 1- protein shake and 1/2 c oatmeal w/ stevia and cinnamon, 2- 1/2c cottage cheese and sliced apple, 3-turkey sandwich w/ deli mustard, spinach and red onion on whole wheat bread w/ carrots. I plan to have a protein bar for #4, grilled chicken, asparagus and brown rice for #5, and either protein pudding or oatmeal w/ protein powder for #6. Feel free to give feedback if you see anything out of whack.
Futureandahope- I feel like it's a lot of food too! Seems so counter-intuitive to eat so often and get lean. I'm liking it, though, and excited to see if it works for me!
Hope everyone has a great day 3!!
Hello faith can you tell me where the discussion groups are? I would appreciate it.
thank you
HI Vkschoch
Question for you... this is my 3rd day on program. Day 1 it was hard to even eat 5 meals however on day 3 I am starving and I am only able to go aprox. 1.5 hours between meals and snacks. Is this normal?? I would appreciate any advice or suggestions or assurance that this is ok.
thanks
Aphrodite1...you make me feel SO loved! :D:D
It's Day 3 brothers and sisters! The first week is generally the roughest and we are almost OVER the hump! :D:D
SUMO SQUATS, baby! There will be a reckoning..... haha

Hey everyone!!! I am so thrilled to have you all to turned to for accountability and support. How is everyone doing so far? I can't believe day 3 is almost over. I have done well with the workouts and the meals. I must admit I am still nervous about this plan working. I know this is stemming from the fact that others plans did not produce the results. As everyone taken measurements and pictures? My goal is to have cross these to items off my to-do list this evening. Good luck everyone. I look forward to reading your success stories daily!
Anna :)
sorry for the typo.... doing too many things at once!
ahhhh the dreaded leg day.... so apparently I still do not like dead lifts... or squats... (too bad they are 2 of the best exercises)
Hey Limittonone- This is my first time too so I don't know! I had the same experience, though. On days one and two I wasn't hungry at all- yesterday I was shoving cottage cheese in my face so I could get it in long enough before my workout. Today I was counting the minutes! I'm chalking some of it up to the fact that this is the 3rd day and I'm starting to get cravings for sugar, etc so I'm getting some false signals from my body. Also, I assume there will be some learning curve with regard to finding the food choices that make you/keep you more full and at what times it's better to eat what foods. Know what I mean? Maybe some of the more experienced people can weigh in on this?
PS. Coloraider- I love dead lifts but hate lunges. I'll do your dead lifts if you do my lunges :)
Day 1-3 done, I dont have weight to remove. However, I am trying to turn flab into FAB! I have the BFL womens version.Though I may have to order the original as I am using the downloads for sets and reps. Please email me or FB me if Im absent. Im in for the long haul.
Just a few quite notes before I go to bed! Yesterday I was hungry and I do think part of it is your body starting to crave all those unhealthy things that you are having to work off now (lol)! I was going to eat something, but had a glass of water and kept busy and forgot about it, so try that? Great posting you menu choices occasionally. Helps people choose what to eat and if we are out of whack someone can warn us. Was a little disappointed with my LBW. I did squats, lunges, ect and was doing some heavy weight, but never really felt like I hit a 10. Didn't keep track 'cause I was at the gym without my journal, so lesson learned... Did great on the eating, but didn't feel like eating meal 6. I hate eating before I go to bed, but gotta work on that too. Did all that great workout, but didn't feed my muscles their nighttime snack. Gotta do that. Night all and see you on the AM. Tomorrow is 20 min. HIIT. Gonna try to catch the site mentioned earlier (Emily? I think) for runners. Probably do some abs to with my daughter. Remember to say your goals first thing in the morning to remember why you are doing this and last thing at night, so your mind has time to work and dream of the body you are creating in your sleep. Remember, you are beautiful.
Well, it's 10;15p my time and I just finished my LBW. Ugh! I was so slammed with work, running errands, and preparing dinner for the family that I didn't have time till after the kids went to bed. I was dreading the late night work out but glad I did it. I can go to sleep and look forward to knowing that I'll barely be able to walk when I try and get out of bed in the morning. Drinking water is getting easier for me - although I have to admit I'm still drinking my diet coke in the am. I know, I'm trying to wean myself off of it completely but it was a 64+ oz a day habit till now so baby steps. i did find like some of you mentioned that I'm not craving it as much - in fact, it seems almost too sugary to me at this point - so hopefully the more I work out and the healthier I eat the less I'll crave that DC in the am.
Vkschoch - love seeing your meal plan - great ideas that I'll be using soon. I'm terrible at coming up with different menus and usually burn out on the same meals after two weeks. Keep 'em coming!
Aphrodite1 - I still need to start journaling. Been eating great the past 3 days but haven't been writing it down. I figured if I do my workouts and drink my water, at least I've mastered 2 out of the 3 essential steps. I'm tackling the journal tomorrow.
ColoRaider - Ditto on hating the squats and lunges. I really don't think they'll ever get easier - even if I managed to lose half my body weight!
Onward to day 4 everyone.
Good morning all! Started it with a shake. Yum!! It was a really good shake. I think I might make that my morning routine. I’m not one that likes to do the same thing everyday, but the idea of getting out the do with my protein, low calorie option appeals to me. Unfortunately, I did forget to write my meals in my journal last night, but went through it in my head as I was falling asleep. You MUST do the journaling. If you think the groups holds you accountable, the journaling tracks where you have been (so you can see progress later if you get discouraged) and it reminds you where you want to be. You will continue to hear me preach on this one….Your mental framework is the main thing that will push you through this. I have found the accountability of the group is very important too. Commit now. For Facebook junkies, you can add me. I post about once a day, but I think if you want to be help accountable really getting to know each other is going to be a big step. We are going to be tied at the hips for the next 12 weeks, so we might as well get to know each other! Lori Himmelsbach. Have a rockin’ day!!!
Linsforlife – Awesome post on Emily. Read through the running part, but still may take it a little easy until after my 7 mile race on Sunday. Can’t risk overdoing at this point. Not sure what my HIIT will be today, but am super excited with that information. Never really felt like I pushed my HIIT like I should.
Re for life: What is Bodypump. Don’t really have a group, but it sounds interesting.
No Limits: Hope you got those Photos and measurements done! You’re gonna be proud.
MattsMom499: Congrats on flab turning to FAB!! FAB group sounds like a great group. Friend me on Facebook, ‘cause I’m gonna be watching out for you.
Jrgarica: Congrats on getting that workout done! You rock.
Gotta go to work. Have an absolutely amazing day!
