I am also starting on April 9. This will be my first time doing the BFL program. I have been working out at home, mostly cardio and DVD's. My husband and I just joined a gym and I am super excited about having access to all the different equipment.
Sounds good to me. I started the challenge yesterday so I'll sneak in with the group. :)
I'm taking my start photo tommorrow and officially starting then. Lets all look great for the summer and the beach, pool or lake this year!!!
I'm taking my pictures tonight and starting tomorrow. Hoping all goes well. Good luck everyone!
Today is the day!!! WOOT!! This morning I had 1/2c sweet potato, 2 slices turkey bacon, 2c spinach scrambled with 3/4 egg whites. Delish! Hitting the Gym between classes today! Hope everyone has a great Monday!
I would like to join this group too! First time doing the program....had the book for years and have incorporated lots of the ideas into my lifestyle over the last few years. Now, I am ready for more of a challenge! I am not sure where you said the group is moving to? I am in OH and have already taken my before pic.
Welcome to KadyeM, DenaH, Jennifer4, and Transform Teach! Here we go, Up Up and Away! Or should it be Off Off and Away??! Will do measurements and weigh-in this morn...but will not be a slave to the scale- it is too misleading for this Challenge! Measurements and a pair of pants that are "too tight right now,but will be wearable in a short while" are the best markers for progress.
Hope your first day is enjoyable!
hey hey everyone!!! I am starting today on the 9th as well and I would love to be a part of your posts! I was a previous teammate of run4life :) (Howdy run4life!)
This is C2 for me. So far I have started the day good by packing all my meals and I have my LBWO planned for tonight. As I look back on my previous challenge there are some things that I will be doing differently. For instance, I used to log my workouts in my phone and I found that I would get lazy and never look at what I logged earlier in the week. This time around I am going to be using a notebook. This why its really easy for me to see what I have done in the week prior.
Here are my incoming stats and current goals.
GW (after 12 weeks): 137
Cardio Goal is to run a full 4 miles w/out stopping. Right now I can do about 2.
Strength goal is to be able to do 10 man style pushups. Right now I only do "lady style" LOL
@watson and body4life emma: before photos are sooooo important. I will be taking mine tonight.
@run4life: so excited to start another season with you!!! hopefully more of our 9ners group comes to this thread :)
@Thistime: best way to stay motivated and power through all the hard times is to keep posting!!! the forum helps to keep you accountable.
@BobbyA: I am in Huntington Beach CA. Also known as Surf City USA, aka you are in a bikini just about the whole year aka I need to work hard in C2 LOL!
Take care everyone and have a great first day!!!
This is my 1st challenge & I am feeling really positive about it! The fact that there is a community out there gearing up for this great challenge at the same time as me is very comforting. Good Luck everyone!
Good Morning Everyone!!!! So excited for our 1st day!!!!!!!! I am so motivated to do this challange and even more knowing we are all hear to help motivate each other along.
Just had my shake for breakfast and even went to GNC last week and bought my Vitamins and Supplements. Taking those this morning was a challange (not used to taking so many pills...) My workouts are during my lunch break so I'm excited to get my first one in here soon.
I took my before pics yesterday and they look pretty gross! But.... I am doing something about it now. I keep telling everyone that this is my 1st day of my journey. That's what this is to me; a journey, not a diet!! I am ready to make the right changes for long term!
Well, good luck to everyone today and I'm looking forward to tomorrow's posts to see how everyone's Day 1 went.
This is exciting...
Hey I started my day 1 with an annual physical...I guess the stars just aligned that way.
So the Doc said all systems go...NO EXCUSES!
Actually last night 10:00PM my teenage soccer playing daughter wanted to go for a run...
...four miles later and burning quads...she barely looked winded...not fair...( did this run/walking style)
SO NatalieCA...glad you are here...love your supporting posts. I am assuming you’re also going to hang on the 9ers blog as well! Just wanted to say again great job on the progress with C1.
My goals...more weight loss perhaps 22 Lbs or 79,000Calories net deficit to drop the weight.
Then more strength training to build some upper body strength in those T Rex arms of mine ;-)
@Melza - I couldn't agree more...having a blog group to keep you on track is a big plus and I am 100% sure that is the only reason why I was able to complete my first BFL challenge with Natalie...and I am sure with this group I will have a second one under my belt as we all will before we know it!
@ jnjmartin - looks like yo uare startin the diet clean and that is my weakness part of the program so I hope you nag me as the weeks go by when I confess to slipping in the taste buds department.
To all the rest...looks like a great group...to reach the finish line .
So glad we are starting up...start strong group
I am not going to tell you that it will be easy ... I am going to tell you that it will be worth it!
Hi BobbyA + everyone!
Just wondering if I could still join the Apr 9 start group for my first challenge. Although, I'm not a US Citizen and can not submit my entry for the EAS challenge... I'd still absolutely love the support of the group to stay accountable and motivated for my own personal challenge!
Hi Everyone -
I'd like to join you, if you don't mind! I did BFL a few years ago and had great results. Since then I've maintained a lot of the same eating habits, but fell out of working out as regularly. I run a lot in the summer, but tend to hibernate over the winter. So, now it's spring and time to wake up!
I just did day 1 arms and I can feel my arms twitching and shaking already. Things are going to be sore tomorrow!
Looking forward to a great 12 weeks!
Hi ya'll. I am sooooo ready to get in Summer Shape!!! My day did NOT start off as well as I had wanted it to due to being up till 1AM with Restless Leg Syndrome. I take med for it but sometimes the med just is not enough. So I started off sluggish but did manage to get in a 20 minute workout before going to work and I have done well with my eating.
I am almost 53 yrs old and I would like to lose 4 pants sizes which I BELIEVE I CAN do.
ENJOY the process!!! Know that this takes time, Just be committed to doing your best EACH DAY
uhhgg just had my Before photo made. READY for a major positive change!!!!
