Don't worry Georgiaofsweden, we Australians have a deal with the spiders so we can live harmoniously with each other. No, its not strictly a male thing that makes it easy to post pictures. Once I have mine taken I will try and upload them on as well.
Thats funny Rodie, I have just returned from two years in Brisbane. We have a house out in Cleveland near the water, but I prefer to live in Melbourne. I follow the swans, being that I am originally from sydney.
Cardio is always a challenge. It always seems too easy to skip. Not anymore.
Pain is temporary. It may last a minute, or an hour, or a day, or a year, but eventually it will subside and something else will take its place. If I quit, however, it lasts forever.
I've had a couple false starts with the program in the recent past. However had successfully done this program probably 10 years ago, and had great results. Since I'm starting in worse shape than I did last time I expect to have better results this time around. I just turned 30 this month, which has been inspiring some positive life changes, and this is one of them. Good luck everyone, and Plan-Plan-Plan!
I am also in FL and also starting (again) Apr 2nd. I just decided this morning! I previously did this plan about 10 years ago and had awesome results.. then I started travelling a lot for work and over time have gained back some of what I lost but mostly, just lost all that awesome muscle tone, even with working out off and on. I was thinking this morning about all the weight loss plans on TV and infomercials and then I thought.. "You did BFL before, you know it works.. why are you looking for something else!" So, I am doing this again. It will be a bit of a challenge on the weeks I have to travel to find a place to do the weight training but I will do it.. No excuses!!! I purposely picked April 2nd because I will finish week 12 right before my birthday.. I want to see this one fit again!! It will also give me time to re-read the book and get my EAS products in stock. Best of luck to all of us starting this challenge next Monday!!
Its gr8 to see more people committing to begin on the 2nd, looking forward to sharing with yall, as we progress through this time of getting our lives back.
I'm in, bhornett! I have my journal and most of the supplements I need already and am reading BfL again this weekend. The hubs are I are doing this together--all the way through this time! :D:D
I am starting April 1 and I'm taking this time to reread the book. I am doing some physical therapy recovering from a car accident but I think dropping some weight and focusing on everything I can do to get better is what I will do.
I'm excited to be in the best shape of my life!
Hello all, we (my wife and I) are starting our second challenge on 2nd of April as well, we finished our first last week and are taking this week off from it. This time we are joining the challenge officially, I think once we make that official commitment we will feel more obligated. We are ready, we did really well on the first challenge but didn't give 100%. We are absolutly ready to give it all this time, especially since beach weather is around the corner oh and there is a cash price at the end of it.
We live in Birmingham, Alabama, moved here from Phoenix Arizona in December and are excited to have the beautiful Gulf Coast beaches just 4 hours away so that's another of our motivations.
I am excited to start the challenge on Monday and I like the inspirational quotes, so thanks.
Congrats LAHerrera and to your wife for compeleting first challenge, thats an awesome achievement, well done, looking forward to reading your posts thru this challenge good luck,
ok, went and did a cardio workout today, went awesome, got my hit, and im ready mind in right place, can now run whole 20mins doing intervals, bring it on, who is going to kill this thing with me?
THE BATTLE IS IN THE MIND, CAUSE WHERE THE MIND GOES THE MAN (OR WOMAN) FOLLOWS
IF YOU SAY YOU CANT, YOU CANT AND WONT EVEN TRY, BUT FOCUS AND YOU CAN AND WILL
I'll be starting my 2nd Challenge on April the 2nd. I just finished my first one on March 25th with excellent results. I lost 34.5 lbs of fat and gained 1 pound of muscle. I dropped my body fat from 36% to 26%, went from a size 44 pair of jeans to a 36 and from a 4xxl shirt to a 2xl. You can check out my before and after pics on another thread name "Challenge 1 final stats with pics" under Transformation.
For anyone just starting this program my advice to you is "PATIENCE". This lifestyle of healthy living works, however it does take time and dedication. We didn't get "fat" overnight and we won't get "fit" overnight as well. If you follow this program as it's outlined in the book and give it a 110% you'll be amazed at the results!!! Also, make sure to take your "before" pics, very important! In case you start feeling like your not making any progress, you always have these photos to compare to present day photos to show yourself just how much progress you've been making. I took before, 3 wk, 7wk and 12wk photos. These photos fueled the fire that kept me going for those 12 weeks.
My goals for this 2nd challenge are as follows;
1.) 16% body fat (Current body fat 26%)
2.) Weigh 216 lbs (Current weight 237.5lbs)
3.) Size 32 pair of jeans (Current jeans 36)
4.) Size XL shirt (Current 2XL)
Good luck to everyone, we'll be finishing just in time for beach season :)
I am also starting on the 2nd. I have started the program before but for one reason or another I havent finished. I get discouraged because I never see results on the scale. But I took the battery out of the scale and threw it away lol.. This time I am taking my before pics, and measurements then I am going to forget about all that and just focus on getting fit. I think for women we dont see the results as fast as the guys, or thats atleast what I tell myself. one thing that I think will keep me motivated this time is that I signed up for a Mud Run this summer so I have to get in shape if I want to finish it.
Hello: I am starting on April 2nd, My membership for 1 year is bought, my gym bag is packed and waiting for me at the front door. I'll do my grocery shopping today, and prepare my meals Sunday.. I am very enthusiastic about returning to this program. I am starting my life over after a divorce and I am coming back to life. This program is just what I need to gain a healthier body and to kick any self doubts to the curb. Best Regards from Ontario, Canada !
Go! Go! Go! Go! Congratulations from your Ontario, Canada Buddy.
Good Morning ~
I began this challenge earlier this week and well it hasn't started off the way that I had hoped. I'd like to join your thread and share daily success' as well as daily challenges. From what I have read so far ~ everyone is very positive and looking forward to having a better, healthier life. I've looked at a few of your pics and it really motivates me to push forward :)
My biggest challenge is the eating the right foods at the right time. Chocolate seems to be my biggest hurdle. My mind seems to think I need to have it EVERY DAY in the form of a cookie, donut or candy. This I will need to work on!!
Exercise is getting better for me. I completed 6 1/2 weeks out of 9 at a local body transformation facility. I didn't complete the 9 week session due to a leg injury, but I have a membership at Planet Fitness and I go about 3 times a week during my lunch with a few of my co-workers.
I'm looking forward to getting to know you as we move forward with our jouney.
Have a Healthy Day ~
I have never done this before but was talked into it by a friend and we are going to start on the 2nd as well, and I can use al the friends I can get. I have been really bad to myself for a long time and am in dire need of my own attention. I am scarred and excited to try to get better.
