Mumofone,
I tried to friend you too. I really hope we can all keep encouragining one another. I need to learn how to use this site. I have a profile, but no pic yet.

4th meal down - will go workout in 1 1/2 hours after work. Seems lot of us are on different timezones, since some of you already ate all of your meals and worked out - or I'm really behind.
I'm dreading the workout, don't know why - perhaps afraid I won't find the right equipment - which is silly since I've been going to this gym for some time now - ugh - feel the anxiety and do it anyway!
Mktpro,
I feel the same way about the gym and finding equipment! Sure, it's not rocket science, but when you don't know something, it's tough to get started. Good Luck!
Hi Bob, mrktpro
I was really looking forward to the UBWO today, I didnt have the worry about the gym equipment as i am not able to get to the gym so i am doing the free weights from home with the few weights i have found, although i think i will be purchasing heavier weights as i didn't hit a level 10 on every occasion.
I do plan to use tredmill, cross trainer and bike at lunch times in the work gym on my aerobic days though.
Well its 10 in the evening here in the UK so i'm off to bed to let my body recover from day 1.
All the best.
Hey all, just FYI, I completed my profile. Check it out by clicking on my name above this post. Hopefully I will be adding a picture soon and will keep it updated. I still have to figure out the blogs and other stuff on this site.
Even though I have the support of my wife, who has already done the BFL challenge and succeeded, I want to converse with you folks who are doing the challange with me.
ps...Good night friends in the UK!
Hey gang, well today didn't go as planned. My daughter just didn't get the concept of when sleep time was, so I never made it to the gym. But I did follow the meal plan, so I guess that's half a victory. Tomorrow though is the day, come hell or high water.

hey, I worked hard on my bio but apparently it didn't save. anybody else having trouble saving their bio?
OK, I'm done for the day! Feels great. One more meal to go. I didn't drink much water today but everything else diet-wise was good. Gym was good too. I still need to take a before pic. You guys have me scared to do it now! ;-)
Hey Jeff, great attitude! Things are going to come up, and I know it's going to be important for me to keep going, no matter what. Really inspiring ... thanks for sticking with it.

Ahhh, home from the gym - just had dinner - salmon and wheat angel hair pasta w/ a side salad. I must admit that the food we get to select on this program makes it doable.
The gym was a challenge - trying to remember everything. I did ok, I did find machines to handle the upper body. Our free weight area is always pretty busy after work, so I did my reps on the machines. I'm looking forward to getting into a routine where I don't have to look down and see what I have to do next, I feel that will help me in giving it my all. I suppose that will come with time?
I've made some protein pudding for my last meal which I'll have before bed.
Great job team!
Hey Texaninlild...me too! I'm approaching this more from a plant based protein mindset but everything else pretty much the same...workouts, carb/protein ratios (altho' I tend to get more carbs than protein...), etc. so we can do this--welcome aboard--to all of us :) Gettin' ready for day 2!
everyone ready for day 2????
bring it on.....
Its pancake day here in the UK, so I have made 2 batches of the BFL pancakes and frozen them into separate meals, ready to just take out and defrost in the morning, seems like a lot less hassle than making them every morning, I put in extra cinnamon and they are really tasty without syrup now. I will also be using them as a mid meal snack.
I hope you all have a terrific day 2.
Ready for day 2!
Got to say how great it was to check in a few times yesterday and see all everyone else here. My wife just went to the gym - *so* proud of her. I'll be heading that same way as soon as the kids are off.
@Andik, do you have a link to the recipe for BFL pancakes? We'll have to try them.
hey pencilbox.
Sorry I do not, they have another version on this site, but I prefer the one out of the eating for life recipes book. I can type up and send to you. check out bodyforlife.com/.../breakfast-protein-pancake. if you want me to send you the other version lmk.
I do not like cottage cheese, the pancake recipe calls for cottage cheese, after blending it until runny you cant taste it, they really are great.
Ready for day 2!!! Yesterday I did OK with meals. Made a really great recipe that I found on here bodyforlife.com/.../dinner-asparagus-tomato-chicken-and-penne-pasta
Today it's back to work but I'm going to get in a workout before that. Luckily I don't start until late today!! The goal(s) for today are more water, follow meals more closely.
So glad to see everyone so positive after the first day!!!
