!st Week in February

  • Bitts, that is hillarious.....the 80 year taking it too ya......goal setting for net week, "outdue the 80 year old on the treadmill"....LOL

I felt similar a few days ago.....watched someone from work twice my age lift double what I was able to......and they did it 10 X to my 6.

Hey, it takes a big person to admit when.....ok, I'll stop

  • OK, last post and I'll shut up

Andys10, so true what you say......big time change pof lifestyle which is effecting us in many different ways.  My wife asked me if I had lost weight, and my response was 'it does not matter, I feel good, am not tired, and am motivated each day'.

  • Way to go BCTD!  it is amazing and somewhat unexpected to feel as motivated and positive in only 2 weeks.  I get to do my last workout of the week in 2 hours.  I honestly cant wait!

  • I wanted to CONGRATULATE each and every one of you starting the first week in February!  We MADE IT!   2 weeks down, 10 to go!

I have lost a total of 8 pounds and I am feeling better than I have in a LONG time!  Thank you all for the support, motivation, and feeling the pain with me.  Have a great Sunday!

  • Thx Andys10....likewise to you, CONGRATS.  8 lbs, nice !

  • hey gang, yesterday was free day more like free for all day ugh... then hit the park with my kettlebells today and had a good workout although I was really struggling to get it done.. I am looking forward to getting it done tomorrow week 3 here..

BCTD: thanks for the compliment lol.. It's taken me about a month to be able to do all exercises in the order without taking a break longer than 30 seconds between movements.. that swing/lunge is a real killer trying to get the knee down and back up before the bells come back and bashing u in the shins is a real challenge lol... I can step back but cant get the knee to the floor..... yet :) Congrats on staying focused and strong.

Andy's10: congrats to you as well.. checking in as often as possible has kept me on track in the past and honestly it's really what helped me get through my first challenge.. keep at it!

everyone: tomorrow starts a new week MAKE IT COUNT! aloha

  • Ah!  Help! Valentines Day candy has a hold on me!  Been doing ok but still adjusting to eating fewer carbs after my race.  I have a MAJOR sweet tooth lately too!  Was feeling a little unmotivated this week.  Did my upper body workout and looked over my marathon pictures from last month.  Slowly getting pumped up again.  Hope everyone had a great weeekend!  Keep it going!  :)

  • Congratulations! We are in the same team! Let's make it happen! Wish me luck..

  • I just saw your pix from your first challenge, congratulations! I see, you know what you're doing, because you got great results. I am new in BFL, and I am excited, but a little overwhelmed with all I need to learn and plan. How as it for you the first time?

  • Good morning BFL February gang!

Happy week 3 to those of us starting the first week in February.  Kicked off my morning with my UBWO and I am focusing on quality reps and trying to pick 2 or 3 sets to bump up the weight on.  I am SORE again this morning!  WOW!  I again identified a few points to dial in and focus on next time.  I find that my UBWO always leaves me feeling like I could have done better but I know I have pushed myself to that 9 or 10 effort.  I could not hardly lift my hands up to soap my head up in the shower!  Hope everyone has a good one!  Stay STRONG!

  • Feb BFL team,

Week 3 is upon us and from a personal standpoint I can tell you that I am feeling very thankfull for all of the support on this board.

I have lost a few lbs in my 1st 2 weeks, but more importantly I feel great and even received positive comments from family and friends on how I look.

On the negative side, I thought after 2 weeks the pain in my quads from the 10's hit doing squats would disipate.....guess I thought wrong LMAO.

Anyways, have a great day everyone, and enjoy another successful week.

btw - I challenge everyone (including you christykikki) to have a clean day on Tuesday / Valentines day.  I know it will be tough, but we can do it as a group :)!

  • Hey All,

Sorry I have been MIA from the site for the past several days.  We had my little one's brthday party this weekend and with 50 people at the house - I was consumed by prepping last week.  Anyway I took 2 free days - not good.  I am back on track today though and had a great LBWO despite my little one waking up in the middle of it.  Hope you all are having a good Monday.

BCTD - I plan on having a clean V-Day.  I am going to grill steaks and have a baked potato and a salad - it really doesn't feel l like I am missing out when you can have that for dinner.

  • Hey Everyone,

My apologies for not keeping up with the site here. Life has been so busy for me lately and I have been struggling. I am trying to get back on track but keep having road blocks along the way.

    Very frustrating.

I hope you are all doing well.

  • Good Morning everyone,

Happy Valentines Day!  Got in a good run - got to 1.92 miles so I am hoping by Saturday I will hit the 2 mile mark.  Need to get in a shower so gotta run.  Hope you all have a day filled with love.

Mads - I struggled last week too - no worries it happens just get back to it and no looking back!

    Kristin
