Hi all! I haven't been on for a few days, just read to get caught up. Congrats to those who have lost weight already. Day 11,week 2 I have been eating every 2-3 hours, still short on protein, but working on it. Had a free dessert on free day, but wasn't really craving sweets, and didn't really enjoy it that much. Also that guilty feeling stays with me. Haven't lost any weight yet, my husband reminds me that fat weighs less than muscle. Haven't measured inches yet. I'm going to wait a little longer to do that, i don't want to be discouraged if nothing changes. Plan on some warm up cardio with lower body workout tomorrow, day off, so no time restraints. Like you Lelani got a little discouraged about no weight loss, but I really want to lose inches, so my clothes fit better. I think also that people with more weight to lose, lose more sooner at first and then level off. Also feeling rather tired at end of day, but have been sticking to earlier wake ups, so maybe some energy will kick in. Keep on working everyone!!!
Wow! Looks like everyone is doing great! Lelani, I too am not dropping any weight. I even do EXTRA cardio! Just hang in there. Our bodies are still adjusting and transforming even if we don't physically see the change yet. Today is cardio day, but I think I am going to either a muscle pump or boot camp class and will be counting that as my upper body workout and will also do 20 mins of HIIT.
Thank you Ankita, I've been trying to get at least 20 gms protein each meal. I too want to lose about 35 lbs, I'm 40 yrs old 5'4" and started the challenge at 165 lbs. My workouts are going good, just wish I had more energy in the afternoons.
@ Imhof1971 You're welcome : )
@ Lelani -Don't get dicouraged. We all are here for you .We will fight this battle together.Just DO YOUR BEST .Make sure you have clean diet and woking out as everyday following the routine along with reaching the high intensity in graph as doing the strength training and cardio in brief reaching your max.
I am first timer in BFL .Not an expert anyway.but I have done all the diets (Atkins, weight watcher, juicing).Every diet has advanteages and disadvantages. But none of them kept my weight off.I lost 22 pounds but gained it all back and now I realise my way of losing weight in past was not healthy .I lost too much weight too quick and my body didn't get adjusted to it but I have very positive hope from this BFL routine. And I enjoy it because mid of the week and I am already counting days for my free day ; )
It gives me liberty to eat want I crave for in short span of time like 6 days is doable .Somebody say don't eat this and that for 2 months would be too much .I don't know why I am writting this all here when we all know it .May be its good to recall some of the old memories about weight loss strugle and share with my team .
Beleive it or not Its encouraging me I see difference in my arms and legs.
I am writting my diet here Plz suggest any modifications if required also compare yours IF we fall in same BMI zone .I am 5'4'' -168 female 30yr
1)Morning I make 4 scoops of protein shake with water -440 calories (I consume that a lil bit li bit whole day ) I don't know right or wrong But that's how I am doing it.

Just for the record , yesterday eve 45 minutes biking , this morning 20 min elliptical and hit again upper body strength training as my upper body(back , shoulders) was not sore from yesterday so I thought I may have not done enough.
I'm doing well this week too. I was a little off my diet the past couple of days because I had to get some groceries. Last night I got a few groceries, enough so I have some high protein snacks, and some fruit. I'm good now. Doing my workouts well, enjoying it too. Not sure I did enough Upper body last night either. Will see as the day progresses. Last week my triceps were killing me. Maybe I was too soft on them last night. Will keep you posted.
Did get up early and get my cardio in, but going to the gym for a Zumba hour tonight. Never done that before but thought I'd spice it up a little . We'll see how it goes.
JayHart, thanks for the suggestion for the Daily Burn Tracker. I will look that up. Good to know!
Have an awesome day everyone.

Did my LB yesterday. Not sore like the first week. Starting to get super nauseous all the time and letting my eating laps today. Going to get some medicine to help with that. Funny when I'm eating I feel not so sick. No wonder some of us women put on a lot of weight while we're pregnant.
I'll be really sad if I have to through in the towel soon. It will be a whole year till I can try again. Sorry. Don't want to be a downer.
Hey KimB I've done Zumba. Get ready to sweat. It's fun. Week 2 almost over.:)
"Never give up. Never Surrender."
Finished my last workout of the week and it was GREAT. I love cardio :), hit 8.7 miles on the treadmill for my level 10 and was sweating something rotten. I'm hoping to be able to get up to 10 mph by the end of the program. Slightly nervous about scales tomorrow but I definitely feel a lot fitter so we will see.
How's everyones week been? Thats us 1/6 of the way through KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK :D

Hi all,
Looking forward to Week 3! I am down 4lbs - so pretty happy - goal is 10 more lbs...always the hardest!
Can't remember if I posted about this calorie counting website before. I know we are not supposed to count calories per se, but it is fantastic to track your daily weight and to input your food into the on-line log. It totals up your carbs and protein etc. to make sure you are getting enough of each. LOVE IT and I hate journaling etc, but it is really keeping me honest :) Oh, and it tracks your daily exercise so you can see if you are having a net calorie loss each day. Hope it helps someone.

Hi Teammates!
I hope everyone has had a great week. I am down 5 pounds and did pretty good on my free day. Looking forward to getting back at it this week.
I have a very important question to ask. When I signed up, I chose to have the starter kit mailed to me. Well, I have not received it yet and it will not let me register online. I know I am supposed to take a picture and record my starting weight, but was I supposed to take any measurements or anything??? I don't want to wait until I am all buff to find out I needed to do this. :D (joking)
If anyone knows what I was supposed to take note of, I would appreciate the information.
Thanks a bunch, I am glad you all are here.

I was down with the flu Since sat .Felt good today so I went to the gym and did 1 hour bike
class and upper body workout .Yesterday I went to the gym but had fever so didn't feel like doing anything got back without doing anything .Didn't do well on diet too these days .Feeling bad and guilty .I didn't weigh my self this sunday .
Hope we all achieve our goal at the end of this challenge.
Well gang, I lost weight. Before you applaude let me tell you it was not because of this plan. I had the flu. I am still recovering and it has been a week from hell. I would really like to start over because I was not able to exercise much less eat normal, but I decided to continue on. My hope is to continue BFL tomorrow. This sucks but that is the way life is. Hope everybody is doing well and losing weight the right way! I'm going to look forward and continue on!
Wow! A lot happens when I am busy! This chat has been just as busy as me! :) Good going team!
I see everyone is working so well, trying their best. Keep it up! Even if we don't see any weight loss right now, we are doing something good for ourselves. This is helping us whether we see the results of that now, or 12 weeks from now. If we endure, we will see success. Stick with the program; eat right, do your LBWO and UBWO as necessary and get that cardio done too! We can do this. Don't let anything stop you; not work, not weather, not the flu, not pregnancy.
Here is some encouragement for you that I read - written by Donna Fargo:
"You have THIS moment...You can choose to be happy or unhappy. You choose what you think, say, and how you feel. You choose to be hopeful or hopeless.
You have THIS day...no matter what the weather may be, you choose what kind of day it will be; beautiful, awful, or somewhere in between. YOU choose what you will do and what you won't do, to give up, give in, or go on. To do something or nothing. Only you can choose your attitude about what you are facing.
You can talk and talk about what you need to do to honor your life, but if you don't turn those words and thoughts into actions, you are just playing games and giving up.
YOU have the power to make choices. Use that power wisely. Every choice you make is manifested by your life and your body."
There is more to this quote, but those are the parts that I feel really hit home with me. It's my choice what I eat today. It's my choice if I work out today, or how hard I work out today. Nobody else can make that choice for me. How important are my goals to me? My actions answer that question.
Have a good day everyone!
I must admit, when I went on a business trip...I got off track for FOUR days. I wasn't proud of myself. However, my boyfriend did push me to go to the gym this past Monday, and I came out happy! I've been back on track ever since. I still struggle with eating properly, but doing alot better than before i started this program. Soon, I can go and buy the shakes and bars that were recommended.

Don't get discouraged with not seeing any weight loss yet. I have not lost anything either. I did do all my measurements at the beginning of the program and I have not lost anything yet. But, I have noticed things are moving around and my cellulite is smoothing out. So something is diffidently happening.
I struggle with my water intake right but I think I am starting to get my nutrition down pat. You said you are having trouble with getting enough protein. Have you tried the EAS strength bars? They are good and the chocolate & Peanut butter one has 25 grams of protein in them. I found something on the website that may help you if you have not read it yet. It says to lose weight take your weight x 7= caloric intake unless it calculates below 1200. Women should not eat less that 1200 because then you are burning muscle instead of fat. Hope this helps
