Staring Monday, Nov. 28!!!

  • Hi everyone, I'm hoping to start Thursday, Dec. 1 and I'd love to be a part of the group starting this week. I've tried the Challenge before but never stuck with it. I'm nervous but to make SURE i stick this time, I'm asking some friends and family to be there to do my before pix. That'll be motivation! Before, I've just done the pix myself and not told anyone I was taking the challenge...talk about planning to fail. anyways, i just wanted to pop in today. later in the week I'll get some pix posted and get to know you all better.

    Have a GREAT first week!!

  • First day cardio down, hardest part was getting up at 0430!  Great meals today, Los of energy.  Wife is making pigs in a blanket and banana nut bread for an office parity and I didn't cheat once. Best wishes to all!

  • Ok. Day 5 done. Love the UBWO and cardio isn't bad at 20 mins. Not looking forward to two LBWO buy the free day is motivating! I feel so much leaner already and it is day 5!!!!

  • Hey Jclarke,

I also started on Monday! I would love to be your accountablility partner!

  • Congrats! I also got up at 4:30 and got in my cardio! And I made banana bread for work and I'm NOT eating it! Also skipping out on the home made chocolate cake in the office. If i can get through these next few Holiday weeks then it should be smooth sailing! :)

  • Does anyone know where the best place to buy the already made myoplex lite shakes? In the past I got a case at Costco, but they don't sell them anymore! They are too expensive to buy in the 4 pack at target, any suggestions?

  • Day 6 for me today. Last day of cardio for the week and then my free day tomorrow! I planned my free day on the same day that I also go to my Weight Watchers meetings so that I can have a good weigh in and then have my cheat meals after and then a full week to seem more results.

Regarding where to get myoplex shakes...Do a google search on the web and there are several online distributors of EAS products. I think the EAS site also sells direct but don't know for sure.

  • Heydave: you wake up at 430? Yikes, you’re committed ☺

@tbeards: I like your optimism (when you said you’re feeling leaner already). I hope to feel that way too!

Vaness: Congrats on not eating the banana bread and other snacks. Good job! I’ve seen the ready-to-drink packs at Walmart. Have you tried amazon.com? I know you can get them there and usually with amazon if you do a subscription delivery then it’s even cheaper.

Jclarke: I’m sorry to hear your hubby can eat what he wants…and your sons, too. I know how it is to have all your temptation foods in front of your face. I can’t remove junk foods from my house either. BUT today I went through and put it all out of sight (for the most part). I got some grumblings from my grandparents, but it’s better than looking at the junk right now.

And hey everyone—it’ll be hard to stick to the challenge over the holidays, but we’ll be done by Valentines Day! And think of your family/coworkers who are going to get on the New Years resolution diet bandwagon and we’ll be ¾ DONE with our challenge. Hurray!

  • I've got an idea - we're all focused this first week on getting started...how about next week we post pix here in the forum and introduce ourselves a little so we can get to know each other?  For most of us, we are going to be our only support group, so let's become friends/family :)

  • Hi there.  I started Monday also.  Keeping up with the meal plan has been difficult since we still have Thanksgiving leftovers laying around.  My husband also has the metabolism of a 15 year old!  I live with him and my 4 year old daughter and I don't think either of them could gain a pound if they tried.  I broke down and had a 3 Musketeers yesterday but I've hit the gym both days and otherwise followed the nutritional guidelines.  It is tough to come home and find soft drinks and snacks all over the house.  I would love to have a partner to hold me accountable.  Hang in there!

  • Hello All- I am starting for my 4th time- Arrgh. I have finished once and it was the best feeling in the world. So I am trying a new tactic. A weight loss hypnosis mp3. Hehe  And I think it is helping. Has not put me in a hypnotic state but gives me 30 minutes a day to really focus on my goals and unwind.

I am a 42 year old single mommy of 2 boys- 8 and 10. And I can use all the support I can get! My boys too are rail thin so we have opposite goals. I have 33 to 38 pounds to lose. I took those evil before pics last night and it was so humiliating. Let the transformation begin!

  • Try prosource.net or any Complete Nutrtion store

  • Great legs/abs today. Diet good, feeling god, everything still on track!  Fish, asparagus, brown rice for dinner.  Not a huge fish fan but Australian Sea Bass and it was pretty good!  Hardio tomorrow, not even dreading that!

  • I have a little confession, I had a few bites of cheesecake today so that is my free meal for the week. Such a bummer! However, I didn't have the whole thing, I dumpped most of it in the trash and felt really sick afterwards. It NOT worth it! Just needed to confess so that I'm held accountable. Its chicken, salad and brown rice tonight. Tomorrow is another day to get back on track.

  • Day 3-meals and meal planning are on track! Got up at 5 am and did cardio, my arms are a little sore from yesterday but all in all feeling good. Have to admit I am starting to struggle with the little things I feel like I am missing (coffee, chocolate, etc) simple stuff like that. I am just focusing on one day at a time, sometimes one meal at a time. I know this will become second nature in the next few weeks so we just have to make it til then! It is nice to read everyone posts makes me feel like others "feel my pain" so to speak, also helps me to remember why we are doing this, and keeps me motivated. Well to another successful day, good job everyone and remember one day at a time! Enjoy day 4.
