Alright! Workout 1 is in the books! Boy am I out of shape...actually the shape I'm in is circular! Feels good to be back at it.getting ready for last meal of the day! I hope everyone has had a great day and hit their tens! I hit mine when I lifted the first weight!
Hi theletterK - can I ask when you say you had a post workout recovery shake - what were the ingredients. I am curious because I know some BFL's use whey protein and then some use the myoplex. I want to make some shakes but need some help. Thanks.
Hi worthingtonslaw,
I also have a little one - 5 months and a 2 1/2 year old so I am doing the workouts at home. I was able to get my sisters treadmil since she is not using it and I just bought a really inexpensive small bench at a resale store - I can fold it down and store it in a closet - which is great. I did do this challenge back in 2006 and when I did it that time I just did my cardio outside. I would wear a stopwatch and would start with walking at level 5 and end with a sprint at a 10 - it worked just great. My husband is out of town most weeks so the gym is just not an option and I work full time too. I think it is great you and your wife are doing this together! Good Luck!
I hope you got your workout today this afternoon as you decided. Im sure you're gonna do fine. But I'm sure giving up cigarettes is gonna make all the harder too. But keep reaching out for support. I did my run this afternoon. But I think I will try to do all my exercising in the morning. Only because I prefer to workout on an empty stomach and as a result of trying that for the afternoon i delayed some of my meals and as a result, I am here at 10:03 pm with still one more meal to go. Anyway, good luck to you. I know you will succeed.
hey guys,
how important/imperative do you think it is to get the 6th meal in -- especially if your main goal is weight loss?? i kinda feel like it would be better to stick to five on a day where you've run late, as opposed to doing six and eating at like 11pm and then going directly to bed.
what do you think? :)
I totally started today, I just saw this post. My attention has been in other posts but I'm here for the long haul. Did my planning. Did pretty good with the food today and had a great workout.. could tell my arms were on fire for the last half of the UBWO but I pressed hard to do all I could.
Day 1 schedule was way off but still pulled it off and got it done. Plans laid out, specs recorded, and from here on out... "Just Do It"
just got home from workout #2: cardio!!!!!! well i felt like i was gonna barf when i finished, so i think that's a 10! haha. i don't understand these people who say they feel SO GOOOOD after their workout. i feel like death! my heart is pounding in my ears, sweat burning my eyes, sore everywhere.... and 20 mins later when i'm finally done sweating my legs feel like they're going to buckle when i walk from the kitchen to the living room! but... i guess i feel pretry rock-star-like knowing that i did it.
it was hard though, i felt like giving up after the 10th minute of the 20-min workout. but i kept going, so i know i can do it again next time.
have a great day 2 everyone!!!!!
Day 2 started so 82 to go after this. Did cardio this morning and it felt great! I love that feeling after you workout when you feel so good about yourself for getting up and getting it done! Horray for all of us for moving forward! Hope all of you have a great Tuesday!
I started today! I didn't want to wait the whole week just to start on a Monday so I just jumped in today....did the 20 minute aerobic solution this morning and just had a great breakfast. Not sure if I'm posting where I'm supposed to......but I'll figure it out. I'm encouraged and surprised to see so many people starting.....I will embarrass myself and post my fat pictures in a bit.....that will be part of my motivation.....that's why we are all here isn't it!!!!????
Juicy- you made me laugh!!
:D lol
Day 2 in the books. I am eating way more on BFL than I was before BFL, but it's much better stuff.
Legs still sore from yesterday, arms still sore from my practice run on Saturday. Hoping I get through the upper body tomorrow (I started with legs).
Glad to be finished with Day 2- Did well with eating today, but I just worry about getting bored with the diet. I haven't cheated, but struggled with some cravings this evening.
Workout was good this morning. I feel like I could do better on the cardio next time. My 10 was more like an 8.
Juicy, I love your post. I was hilarious! I can surely relate. But I still feel that I've accomplished something when I'm done- even if I cant breathe. good luck on the rest of your journey and please keep us posted.
