Where do I find the Body for life info and challenge? Is there a workout plan and "diet"? I cant find anything. I am new to this site and need direction.
Hi tonik. Your best and most complete source is from the book. Body for Life is a book by Bill Phillips. You can get a used one really cheaply.
The challenge you can learn more about by clicking on "the challenge", which you will find 2nd from the right on the above toolbar.
Thans Jessica. I actually followed ths year ago and dropped body fat quickly. And cant find my book. I signed up for the challeng because I need to eat agan. Apparently my trainer had m doing too much cardio andonly eating 900 calories. Screwed my metabolism up. Is this plan still three days a week?
Thanks Jessica. I actually followed ths year ago and dropped body fat quickly. And cant find my book. I signed up for the challeng because I need to eat again. Apparently my trainer had m doing too much cardio andonly eating 900 calories. Screwed my metabolism up. Is this plan still three days a week?
If you mean 3 days a week for cardio specifically, then yes.
Yes... Thanks. I will have to look for the book. Again, thx. Any advice you can give me?
Remember that you can do it. Remember that although not easy, it's simple. You have the tools, knowledge and ability. We are here. Come for support.
I wonder if anyone is my age though on here I work out all the time and just get bigger and bigger.
There are people of all ages here. Your metabolism stalled out at 900 calories. You'll get it going again, I've got no doubt.
Thanks Jessica. I could use all the support. My trainer has me scared it wont work. She told me to give up. I am just not good at figuring out how many calories I need.
Why would anyone tell you to give up? What's wrong with her?
Is there a special circumstance I don't know about?
Don't worry about how many calories you need for now. Do the palm/fist method for 6 meals a day and it will work itself out.
No special circumstances just that I wonder if I can fix this metabolism.... I am hungry all the time and I was told never to eat fruit, breads, pastas, oatmeal.... nothing like that... only peanuts, protien shakes and chicken! Can you give me a sample meal plan?
You need carbs!!!
I do have a lot of protein shakes, the ones with carb as well as protein.
I eat a lot of chicken breast, bison, deli turkey (Whole Foods - no nitrites or nitrates), shrimp, tilapia, tuna and other proteins.
For carb I have a lot of raspberries, blueberries, apples, brown rice, quinoa, Ezekial bread (only sometimes), sweet potato, baby red potato and steel cut oats
I have Greek Yogurt and all sorts of other things.
You know BFL worked for you before. It will again.
Of course I have veggies
Basically your body seized with the plan that other trainer gave you.
tonik, first let me say I am so sorry to hear what your trainer did to you. many trainers may be certified in exercise technique, but it doesn't mean they know much about nutrition. and you asked the question about someone your age, though i didn't see what age you were. i am 56 and on challenge 2, had great success on challenge 1, then took a few weeks active rest.
please read the book, and let go of all that conflicting information going on in your head. i am rarely hungry, i mean think about it, i eat 6 times a day. i don't have time to get hungry. i wish you great success
I am 43, firesong, and because of the undereating and all cardio my body keeps gaining weight. Apparently her plan that she said was 1300 calories was only 900. Im scared.
