  • No one ever said BFL was the only way.  There are many great programs.  

    Some have lost WITHOUT a calorie depletion so your science isn't quite on target there.  Again, Bill said no when asked if someone could choose to use 1500 extra calories spread throughout the week instead of a free day.  It is incorrect to say it's just about depletion.

    It doesn't matter.  Just prove it.

    You are talking a totally different circumstance there.  I don't know if it's intentional or you just don't know, but you frequently use examples that aren't parallel.  You also use Bill as an example to argue for somethings and then discount him on the huge ones.  You can't have it both ways.

  • you cant lose fat without a calorie restriction, some may think they are eating less but they really arent, even bill agress with that , he said so in a recent transformation show,im on for the competition, I can get photos taken at the weekend and a dexa scan next week, but there must be some sort of punishment for the loser, im worried about getting other members to judge the winner because you do have alot of friends on this forum, much more than me , im also alot more out of shape than you so my after pics may not look at impressive

  • That isn't quite what Bill said.  Remember that he's also talking to a different audience now.  There are people who increase their eating to bulk up and end up with less fat, but obviously more weight.  That's losing fat.  You hear what you want and that's okay.  Just prove it.  

    I don't have as many friends as you might think.  :)  

    If you are more out of shape then your end results should be more drastic.  Anyway, fine.  We'll do it objectively by exclusively the numbers.  

    I did a bod pod on Tuesday so we'll be a week apart.  It seems silly for me to start over or pay for another bod pod.  

  • I would think it's not punishment, but being an adult.  The loser should congratulate the winner on a new thread.  Maybe we should even start a thread for the purpose of this contest.  

  • The thing is my program only suggests eat less so for all intensive purposes bfl works because most people wil eat less on bfl, however you dont belive in my program because I can eat what I  want when I want as long as I eat less, if I can prove I can get in shape with this program I think you should admit that maybe you were wrong

  • No.  Losing weight does not equal getting in shape.  I will concede right here right now that in most all cases, eating less will cause you to lose weight.  

    Your body fat % will tell me if you are in shape.  We will compare on that.  

  • no problem but I will probably lose alot of water weight, I hope you dont think thats muscle if my weightloss and bodyfat % loss dont correlate

  • I don't know about a dexa, but the bod pod shows fat, muscle and "other" weight so that's not an issue.  

    I don't care.  Show the results and I will only judge the body fat %.  I don't care if you gain weight if you lose in body fat %.  

  • dexa is the most accurate you can get,also when I said lose weight I meant lose fat, I think you should check out www.johnbarban.com and adonisindex.com and have an open mind, I used to be such a bfl advocate too but you need to have an open mind, dont dismiss till u assess

  • I already knew about those sites.  It was assessed and rejected.  

    Body Fat % would indicate only fat so we are talking the same thing.

    the sites had a lot of junk science - the only thing wasn't just eat less

    I've got WW to tell me that or for that matter, my 7th grade health teacher.  The real information is in the middle there.  

    Why are you going round on this?  PROVE IT!

    When are you day 1 pictures?  When is your dexa scan?  When is your official start date?
