Absolutely you can enter separately!!!  In fact, I believe you can enter separately AND as a couple (if you decide to do this, call EAS to confirm).  //  I may be wrong, but I've been doing this long enough to believe that far more people enter individually than as a couple or as a group.  You may actually increase your odds of winning if you enter as a couple (assuming you both have great results).  There is less competition.
