    OK....just stared on Wednesday.  Not having an all-out chedat today....just having a glass or two of wine with dinner tonite.  Looking forward to a full cheat day on Saturday!  :)

    Today is my first official day...May 1st baby!  So far so good...hey do you guys think it's okay if I have my slimfast instead of the BFL shake?  I had bought a 12 pack of them last week and want to use them up before I buy the BFL shakes...  

    The hardest part for me will be the nutrition and getting in the protein I need...  almonds are okay right?

You've been doing it since Wed huh?  I just started today...enjoy the wine tonight....FYI - i had my final wine last night...now I'll wait till next weekend.  You think it's okay to have the cheat day be on Saturday & not Sunday?  Would love to have my chocolate & wine in 1 day...

  • Good morning all! Just picked wifey up from working her last night shift for at least 4 months. Poor girl worked 4 12hr shifts in a row! As soon as she wakes up this afternoon its time for the dreaded before pictures, then shopping & cooking for the week. First upper body work out tomorrow.  

    Super excited about the next 12 weeks & beyond!

  • Hey MB!  Yes..Wednesday was my first day.  I can say it really has been pretty easy.  I love fruits and veggies so it hasn't been too difficult (yet).  I usually work out 4-5 times per week, so going down to only 20 minutes of cardio has been nice.  The HIIT on the elliptical is HARD, though!  I was just coasting along before.  lol  I think you can have your cheat day on any day.  He says in the book that if you know you have an event coming up Friday, or a wedding on Saturday, etc. you can adjust things to have those as your cheat days.  That is pretty nice.  Have my wine chillin' in the fridge.....yummmm.

    Guess I better go and get some pics of myself in my bathing suit before I get thin & ripped.... :)  Wishful thinking!  heehee

  • My grocery store has lots of varieties of ground turkey on sale so I'm stocking up.  I will be cooking all afternoon 'cuz I want lots of food handy and ready to go for the week.

    MB--I don't have the nutritional info on almonds in front of me, but aren't the protein and carb grams about the same?  I eat nuts occasionally, but just counting them as a protein wouldn't be accurate.  And only stick to a serving size.  There is a lot of fat in nuts, so overconsuming them wouldn't do you any good.  There is a lot of controversy over nuts on this site.

    What is the nutritional numbers for Slimfast?  Is there a good amunt of protein and carbs?  If the carb count is double of the protein, then you'd want to supplement it with something else.  I would probably drink them too just to use them up.  I don't like to waste.

    Trying to get lots done today, but forcing myself to eat every few hours.  It's hard 'cuz I just wanna keep working and working.  but when I do that, then all of a sudden I'm starving and I eat junk food to fill up quickly again.

  • Yuck...just had some BBQ ribs (only 3) and two glasses of wine.  Feel crappy!  I can't imaging having a FULL day of icky food.  Can't wait to eat clean tomorrow.  If you feel like having that fattening brownie or disgusting pizza....DON'T!!!  It's totally not worth it!

  • I'm nearing the end of my first day and doing pretty good.  I forgot how good healthy food can be.  A couple of years ago I bought the Eating for Life cookbook and decided to pull it out this morning.  If you haven't tried fish tacos you must.  They are absolutely delicious and taste so fresh.

    My biggest worry is getting up early tomorrow morning to go do my cardio.  I just keep telling myself one day at a time...
